Chapter 49

Once Andy and Robert arrived at the station they changed and then joined the others upstairs so they could all have breakfast together. Luke arrived while they were having breakfast.

Luke: "Good morning" he said to everyone and then turned to Andy and Robert. "You two, come to my office, I have to talk to you about something and it's very important" he said before returning to his office and Andy and Robert followed him.

Robert: "What's going on?" he asked closing the door to Luke's office.

Luke: "I noticed something strange and.. what's going on?" he asked looking at Andy and Robert, but Andy wasn't feeling very well at the time.

Robert: "I don't know what you're referring to"

Luke: "I noticed that Andy has always been on duty in the ambulance these last few weeks and will also be on duty in the next few shifts and then.." he said taking some papers that he had printed out. "I have received confirmation of an order for new clothing for Andy to be shipped to this address" he said showing Robert the papers. "It's not the address you had in your files" while Robert looked at those papers, Andy was still not feeling very well.

Andy: "I don't feel well" she said in a shaky voice.

Robert: "What's going on?" he asked concerned.

Andy: "I.. I have to throw up" she said getting up from the chair.

Luke: "In my bunk is the bathroom" Andy nodded and ran to the bathroom while Robert followed her.

Andy threw up as soon as she got to the bathroom and then sat on the floor next to the toilet and Robert sat next to her.

Robert: "How are you feeling?"

Andy: "It's better now, but I still have a strong sense of nausea" she replied and then vomited again. "Could you make me the usual smoothie afterwards even if it tastes bad? When I took it in the morning then I wasn't so bad"

Robert: "I'll do whatever you want to you" he replied giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I think we should tell Luke, we can't keep it from him" Andy nodded.

Andy: "But right now we're only going to tell him, okay?"

Robert: "Okay. I'm glad to tell him, at least you when you stay here at the station while we're out, I'll be a little bit less worried about you and our babies" he said placing her hand on Andy's belly.

Andy: "We need to get back to Luke"

Robert: "We'll only get out of this bathroom when you feel better"

Andy: "I'm better, we can go" she replied with a small smile.

Robert helped Andy up and after she rinsed her mouth, they left the bathroom and went back to sitting on the chairs in front of Luke's desk.

Robert: "We know you have many questions, but now we will tell you everything" he said taking Andy's hand. "When my sister moved here to Seattle, while we were helping her and William find a house, we.. well.. we bought the house next door to theirs and moved in"

Luke: "You bought a house together? So you finally realized that you are in love with each other?"

Andy: "Yes" she replied with a big smile. "All my shifts on the ambulance and the request for new shirts and new pants because already what I'm wearing is starting to feel tight" Luke looked at Andy a little confused. "I'm pregnant and soon Robert and I will become parents of two babies" Luke was truly speechless.

Luke: "Twins?" Andy and Robert nodded as big smiles were on their faces. "Wow, I really didn't expect that" Andy and Robert laughed. "Congratulations" he said with a big smile. "Now only your wedding is missing"
