Chapter 43

Earlier that morning the team had gone out on a call, but when they got back to the station Robert was at the station because he had a surprise for Andy. Robert, after his family had arrived in Seattle, had decided to take the children to the station with Aunt Andy. The three children were hiding in Andy's office and when she saw Robert she was a little confused as to why he was there.

Andy: "Why are you here? Did something happen?" she asked walking up to him.

Robert: "Nothing happened, I just wanted to get out of the house and.."

Andy: "You should stay home and rest" she said as the team behind them continued to stare.

Robert: "I'm tired of resting, but.." he signaled to the kids so they could get out of the office. "There's a surprise for you" he said with a big smile and then the children appeared.

Children: "Surprise" they yelled going to hug Aunt Andy and then as the children had thrown themselves at her, all four of them fell to the ground.

Andy: "Ahhhh, my babies" she said with a big smile as she hugged her nephews. "I missed you so much"

Noah: "We missed you a lot too" she replied without ever leaving Aunt Andy.

Jack, annoyed by that scene, left while the rest of the team said goodbye to the children. Since they had just returned from a call, they all had to go change including Andy, but Noah did not want to leave her.

Robert: "Aunt Andy will be quick, ok?"

Noah: "I want to be with her" he said cuddling even more to Andy and Robert shook his head.

Andy: "How about while I change, you show your brothers the jacket you have with your name on it?"

Noah: "Okay, but you'll be quick, right?"

Andy: "It'll only take me a few minutes" she replied giving a little kiss on the boy's cheek.

As And changed quickly, Robert led the kids into the room where all the jackets were and then gave Noah his jacket. Robert helped put on Noah's jacket and to make Chloe and Thomas feel left out, he bought two helmets for the two of them. After Thomas and Chloe saw Noah in that jacket, they wanted one too. In the meantime Andy had changed and as she was leaving his office to join Robert and the children, the Chief showed up at the station.

Andy: "Good morning Chief" she said stopping as soon as he saw him.

Chief: "Good morning" he replied with a smile. "I disturb? I wanted to check the work of these days"

Andy: "Oh, okay"

Chief: "Did you have to do something?"

Andy: "I was about to go to Robert who is with our nephews, they are here at the station, but I will join them later"

Chief: "Absolutely not, go to them. Is one of the children the one who was also there I met a few months ago?"

Andy: "Yes" she replied with a big smile. "You can come with me so you know the other two too"

Chief: "I would be very pleased"

The Chief followed Andy and Noah then when he saw the man who was with Andy, he immediately greeted him because he remembered him.

Chloe: "Do you know that man?" she asked her little brother.

Noah: "Yeah, he's the one who gave me the jacket" walking up to Aunt Andy so she could pick him up again.

Chloe-Thomas: "Wow"

Chief: "Do you want one too?"

Thomas: "Yes" he answered in a happy tone of voice.
