Chapter 62

The morning Andy and the children were due to leave the hospital, Robert packed the car seats in the car and then went to collect his family. Andy and Robert were very curious to see how Lilli would behave with Mila and Marcus and they would soon find out.

Robert: "Are you ready to go home?"

Andy: "Yes" she answered smiling. "How do you think Lilli can behave with the two of them?"

Robert: "I think Lilli will be very curious, but she already knows their smell since I've already brought home two onesies that Mila and Marcus had worn" Andy smiled.

Andy: "At home, at least for today, it will be just us, right?"

Robert: "Yes, although I think in the afternoon Thomas, Chloe and Noah will want to come. But just tell my sister not to wear them"

Andy: "No, no, we can't stop him from coming"

Robert: "Ok, but if you're too tired, the children will come another day" Andy nodded.

After packing all their things, Andy and Robert put Mila and Marcus in the stroller and then headed to their car. Andy and Robert then put Mila and Marcus in their car seats, Robert loaded up the rest of their stuff and then they headed home. Once they got home, Andy and Robert put Mila and Marcus in the stroller and then went inside.

Andy: "Welcome home little ones" she said to Marcus and Mila.

Lilli immediately approached them and put her paws on the stroller to try to see the two babies. Andy and Robert took Mila and Marcus in their arms, sat down on the sofa so that Lilli could then approach the two children. Lilli when she approached the two children, she immediately began to smell them as the two children moved a little. Lilli continued to sniff the two little children again and then she walked away.

Andy: "Lilli was really very sweet"

Robert: "It's true" he replied smiling and in the meantime Lilli had returned to them and in her mouth she had a teddy bear which she placed on the sofa.

Andy: "Come on, get on the sofa" she said referring to Lilli as she lightly patted the empty space of the sofa between her and Robert.

Lilli immediately climbed onto the sofa and left the stuffed animal next to Andy. Robert and Andy, while still holding Mila and Marcus, started cuddling Lilli too. While Lilli was being cuddled, she continued to place the stuffed animal that she held in her mouth first next to Mila and then next to Marcus and both Andy and Robert found Lilli to be very sweet. Mila and Marcus then started whimpering a bit as it was time for Andy to breastfeed them. Robert made Lilli get off the couch so Andy could breastfeed the twins safely. While Andy was breastfeeding Mila and Marcus, Robert took the opportunity to cuddle Lilli a little more. Once Marcus and Mila finished eating, Robert took Mila in his arms and after walking around the house for a few minutes and then together with Andy, who was holding Marcus, they went to the twins' room to change their diaper. Since Mila and Marcus were then asleep, after Andy and Robert put them in clean diapers, they put them to sleep in their crib and Lilli lay down next to the two babies' cribs.

Robert: "Now that they're sleeping, you should get some rest" Andy nodded.

Andy: "I really need to lay in my bed"

Robert: "In your bed? I thought it was our bed" he said with a very small laugh.

Andy: "You know very well what I meant"

Robert: "I know, I was just teasing you" he replied pulling his wife towards him. "I love you"

Andy: "I love you too"

After they lay down in bed, Robert put the baby monitor on the bedside table so he could check on the twins and then Andy snuggled up to him and then fell asleep. Robert had stayed in bed with his wife, but then when she moved and moved, Robert got up and went to the twins' room. Robert sat in the rocking chair in their room and watched his children sleep. When Andy woke up and didn't find Robert by her side, she reached for the baby monitor and saw that Robert was standing next to Mila and Marcus' crib.
