Chapter 25

In the following days Robert and William spoke often because Robert wanted to know how the searches were going. One day while Andy and Robert were at home together, William called them because he had found information about Andy's mother.

Robert: "Hey, William, is everything okay?"

William: "It's okay, thank you. How are you?"

Robert: "It's ok" he replied with a smile.

William: "I called you and Andy because I have information about her mother"

Robert: "Did you find her?"

William: "Yes. Is Andy there with you?"

Robert: "Yes, he is here next to me"

William: "Then put it on speaker at least listen to her too" Robert put it on speaker so Andy could hear what William had to say. "What we found is that since she moved out of Seattle she moved with her sister to Puerto Rico and she still lives there. Then I'll send you a file with all the precise information"

Andy: "So she's still alive?"

William: "Yes and she works with her sister in a clothing store"

Andy: "Oh, okay. Thank you William for your help" he said before walking off to the room.

Robert: "Thanks for your help. Sorry to interrupt the call, but Andy looked pretty upset as she went to the room"

William: "Don't worry, I have to go with Emily to get the kids, you go to Andy's"

Robert: "Could you get the kids to call Andy later? I'm sure they'll cheer her up"

William: "I will" he said and then ended the call.

Robert put the phone down on the coffee table in front of the sofa and then went to Andy's. She was sitting on the bed staring into space and Robert sat next to her. Andy rested her head on Robert's shoulder, but she didn't say anything.

Robert: "Are you okay?"

Andy: "I don't know. She is alive and.. if she had died, I don't know, maybe it would have been better"

Robert: "Why do you say that?"

Andy: "Because if she was dead I would understand why she has never looked for me in all these years"

Robert: "I understand, but now if you meet her you can ask her"

Andy: "I'm not so sure I want to meet her anymore. What if she doesn't want to see me? It would be a wasted journey"

Robert: "What if he wants to see you instead? You don't know what really happened" Andy nodded. "Besides, it wouldn't be a wasted trip. If when we arrive and she doesn't want to know about you, she will mean that we will take a vacation"

Andy: "And before we go home, could we go to Miami for a couple of days?"

Robert: "Of course we will. Tomorrow I'll talk to the boss to find out how many days off we can have"

Andy: "And what are we going to tell the others? I don't want them to know where we're going"

Robert: "We can tell them that we are taking a few days off to go on a vacation. We don't have to say where we're going"

Andy: "They will ask a lot of questions, you know how curious they are"

Robert: "I know, but being their Captain in case they keep asking questions, they will suffer the consequences" he replied laughing.

Andy: "Oh, that sounds like a great idea" she replied with a smile.

Robert: "I noticed that you feel a little better now, right?"
