35. Family Shopping Date

Happy Sunday To You All!

It was lunchtime when Adi came to Ram's cabin.
Adi: Ram! Yeh Brinda toh thodi zyada hi excited hai aj.
Ram: Hamara halwa banayenge aaj.
Adi: Bhai shaadi karke yeh hi hota hai.
Ram: Aye! Meri Priya aisi nahi hai. Tu apni biwi ki baat bol. Priya ko toh manana padta hai to go shopping.
Adi pouted.
Priya entered the cabin and gave Ram-Adi a mischievous smile.
Adi(whispering to Adi): Isko kya ho gaya hai? Pee li ha kya Priya ne.
Ram: I don't know. But I'm loving this version of her. Carefree, fun-loving Priya.
Priya: Aap dono meri bitching kar rahe ho?
Adi & Ram: Arreyyy no no. Priya hum toh yeh bol rahe the ki tum kitni achhi ho.
Priya made a face and sat down.
Priya: Thik hai aaj dekhte hain.
Ram and Adi looked at each other nervously.
Kunal and Vikrant entered the cabin and sat down.
Kunal and Vikrant started laughing looking at Ram and Adi.
Ram: Aye tum dono hasna bandh karo! Hamari lagi padi hai aur inn dono ki hassi nahi bandh ho rahi!
Adi: Kaise dost ho tum dono!
Kunal: Dekha isliye shaadi nahi karni chahiye!
Priya narrowed her eyes at Kunal who shut up immediately seeing Priya's expression.
Ram: Ha tujhe toh uss din Priya bohot pasand aayi thi!
Priya: Ram!
Kunal: Chod de bhai. Uss meeting ke baad I was like rehne de bhai main single hi thik hoon. Yeh toh dangerous hai! Koi nahi chahiye!
Vikrant: Trauma ho gaya hai Kunal ko!
All of them started laughing hysterically while Priya was really irritated.
Priya threw a cushion at Ram's face. But he didn't stop laughing. Unable to control her laugh Priya also started laughing heartily.
Priya: It wasn't my fault! Aise kaun karta hai. Kuch bataya nahi...nothing. And Kunal was behaving so weirdly that day.
Kunal(embarrassed): I'm sorry Priya. I didn't mean to be like that.
Priya: It's okay Kunal. Fault tumhara nahi tha. He did it without telling me!
Ram: Ha poori galti meri hai.
Adi, Kunal and Vikrant(together): Ha galti teri hi thi.
Priya: See!
Ram(sulking): Tum log dost nahi ho mere.
Tarun came with the lunch boxes. Priya started serving them. They all ate chatting and pulling each other's legs.

It was 5:30pm when Brinda entered Ram's cabin with a huge smile on her face.
Brinda: Hi Jaan!
Ram(giving a small smile): Heyyy...
Brinda: Ram please ab toh close your laptop. We're going shopping! Be excited!
Ram: Ha bohot excited hoon main bali ka bakhra banne ke liye.
Brinda started counting stores where she wants to go that's when Priya entered.
Priya: Hi Brinda.
Brinda: Heyy!
Priya(looking at Ram): You're still working?
Ram closed his laptop with a sad smile then called Adi.
Ram: Hum log chalte hain. Everyone else will join us at the mall.
Priya nodded. Adi and Sandy also joined them.
Ram(smiling): Okay let's go.

They all sat the car and drove towards the shopping mall. Ram turned on the music system and played "Dil Chahta Hai-title track". They all started singing the song at the top of their voices.

Sandy was actually surprised and happy to see Priya enjoying. She smiled widely and mentally Thanked God for sending Ram in her Pri di's life.

Adi chose to play "Adhoore" from Break Ke Baad.
Priya played "Joy Of Little Things" by When Chai Met Toast.
Kunal then played "Tum Hi Ho Bandhu" from Cocktail.
Then Sandy played "Ik Junoon" from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Vikrant played "Udd Gaye" by Ritviz.
Then Brinda played "Roobaroo" from Rang De Basanti.

They reached the mall's parking area but waited for the song to end.

Ram(excitedly): Chalo Paltan chalo.
Priya: What happened to you suddenly?
Ram: Gaane sunke josh mila.
Priya started laughing, shaking her head.

Just then the other car also came. Shivi came running to Priya and hugged her tightly. Akki, Meera ma, Sara and Ishaan also came. Ishaan hugged Ram.
Ram: How are you?
Ishaan(smiling): A lot better. How are you?
Ram(smiling): A lot better.
Brinda and Shivi: Let's go. Let's go.
Ram gave a look to Priya.
