Finally home

The rest of the week was much of the same. You would wake up to Bruce or Tony knocking on your door and you would see that Bucky was just waking up on his side of the phone. You both would silently blow kisses to one another and end the call before getting ready for your day. Most of your morning ended up being in the bathroom, and you skipped breakfast the entire week. Bruce and Tony told Fury it was a stomach flu when he asked about it, but you had a feeling he knew differently. By the time that Friday rolled around, you were ready to go home. You had been working on formulas all week, and were timid to try to make a new batch before leaving, because you didn't want anything to go wrong while you were gone and to get called back. Tony was all for it, wanting to jump back into it, while Bruce sided with you. Neither of you wanted an interrupted weekend.
The three of you spent Friday afternoon working on your health exam, and passed with flying colors. They took some blood tests, and wanted to do a pap smear but you politely refused the pap smear, telling them in a no nonsense tone they weren't touching you any further. They tried to tell you that it was mandatory, but Tony interrupted them and told them they weren't touching you any further. Fury came in and looked at you curiously, and you huffed, while holding onto Tony's arm, while he stood in front of you in a protective, fatherly stance.
"No one else is touching her" he spoke with authority and Fury dismissed the nurses and doctors from the room before giving a small smirk.
"I expect to see you back next week" Fury finally spoke after a small pregnant silence.
"Director Fury..." you started, feeling like you had to explain.
"No explanations necessary from you. I can see what's going on here" Fury crossed his arms. "I assume there's already been tests done" he added, looking at Bruce who was standing next to you with his arm over your shoulder comfortingly. Bruce nodded, but didn't say anything. "I also assume it's Bucky's" he added with a bit of a grin.
"Yes" you nodded, knowing the cat was out of the bag.
"Super soldier and enhanced baby... that will be interesting" Fury turned around and walked out of the room. You looked at both Bruce and Tony worriedly.
"Don't worry, no one is touching the baby" Bruce reassured you. "We will treat them like a normal baby, with maybe a few extra tests along the way"
"As long as it doesn't hurt my baby" you whispered.
"No one is going to hurt your baby, you can count on that" Tony relaxed a little bit and you took your hand off of his arm. "We will however have to send the test results to Fury now, so you can be excused until after you give birth"
"Can we go home now?" Cloud asked from where he stood beside you.
"I want to" you looked down at him. "Cloud wants to know if we can go home now?"
"We just need to go pack our things" Tony nodded and started to lead the three of you back to the rooms that you were assigned. You hated living here, and wished that you could just travel everyday from the compound. You knew you would sleep better if you had Bucky with you, and the pack closer. This week, sleeping with Bucky on the phone helped a little, but it was nothing like snuggling in his big strong arms, and nuzzling into his chest. You loved the feeling of the rise and fall of his chest under your head, and listening to his gentle snore. You went into your room and started stuffing the overnight bag that you had brought with you. You didn't want to leave anything behind, just in case they moved your room when you come back next week. You took the dirty blankets and sheets and put them in a pile in the corner of the room so the cleaning staff had less work to do. You went and picked up your bag and checked your phone. You had several picture messages from Bucky again, which just made you smile. You sent him a heart and told him you were leaving shortly. You thought about being in his arms again and felt instantly excited to go home. Tony and Bruce knocked on your door and you opened it easily. Cloud gave a loud bark and started leading the way down the hallway, already remembering the way back to the tarmac.

"I ordered us a pizza since we missed supper" Tony called back as he was landing the jet.
"I just want to see my Gingersnap," Bruce sighed heavily.
"I want to see my Bucky" you pouted, and craned your neck to see if you could see him outside yet. All you could see was the back of the compound.
"And I want to see Pepper, but we still need to eat," Tony chuckled. "Remember, no work this weekend kids, we will save it for Monday. The team will start being on missions again next week, and will be bringing in more of those Hydra soldiers. We will have fresh eyes on Monday" he finished landing the jet and you reached for Cloud's seatbelt before reaching for your own. Once he was unstrapped, he jumped down and ran to the back of the jet, where the back hatch was slowly going down. Cloud barely waited for it to finish and he leapt off of the bottom portion and ran towards the compound. You heard a few whines and barks and knew instantly that Melody had met him outside. You finished getting unbuckled and jumped up while grabbing your bag and ran off the back. Bruce and Tony were a little bit slower. You only had one thing in mind, and that was Bucky's lips on yours again. You leapt out of the back and saw a majority of the team was waiting, you heard a whine and a few barks and your eyes found Bucky standing there, holding Blue with a relieved smile on his face. He handed Blue to Steve who was standing beside him, and he broke into a run coming to you, meeting you halfway as you ran towards him. He caught you mid stride and picked you up, and you kicked your legs out and wrapped them around his hips as he pulled you close while you dropped your bag carelessly to the ground. His lips came crashing onto yours in a hungry kiss, both of you feeling the urgency behind it. His neatly trimmed beard scratched against your face as he tilted his head slightly to the side, and his tongue plunged past your lips. You moaned softly, while he let out a bit of a groan. You wrapped your arms around his neck and fought for dominance in the kiss, while his tongue danced with yours in that sweet, sweet dance you had so badly missed. You pulled slightly on his hair to pull him impossibly closer and he let out another soft moan. You felt like until this moment you hadn't breathed all week. You had been missing such an integral part of you, and suddenly you were whole again. Bucky held you up and wrapped around him so easily, and you pulled a little harder on his hair to see if you could get him to come any closer. Your chest was flat against his, and you were completely pressed up against him.
"I missed you" he pulled back from the kiss to give you a moment to get a breath, his forehead resting against yours, both of you breathing the same air.
"I missed you" you repeated back to him in a whisper. You heard howls that you had come to know so well over the last six months and Steve came over and you disentangled yourself from Bucky, and he set you on your own two feet again. "Hi Stevie" you gave a soft smile and reached out for Blue who howled again in excitement.
"You were terribly missed" Steve chuckled while you took Blue into your arms and held him close.
"Mama gone so long" Blue whined, nuzzling into your neck and yipping before he licked your cheek and wriggled in your arms excitedly.
"I missed you, my baby boy" you peppered his face with kisses.
"Mama love" Blue whined and you felt your eyes fill up with tears. Bucky wrapped his arms around both of you, and placed his head in the crook of your neck. You sighed happily, and just enjoyed feeling whole again.
"You were gone too long, this better not be happening again" Melody spoke up.
"We are going to be gone again next week, I'm sorry love" you opened your eyes to look at her.
"Where's my hug?" she demanded. "I want to come next time"
"We will talk about it" you pulled away from Bucky for a moment and got down on your knees, settling Blue on his feet and opening your arms for Melody and she jumped into your arms and licked your face.
"Bucky took good care of us, he's a good Alpha" she updated you. "He carried Blue almost all week, the little one didn't want to walk on his four good paws"
"How was your vet visit?" you asked, biting on your bottom lip while you continued to hold her.
"They poked me!" she said as if she was offended.
"That's your vaccinations" you tried to hold back a giggle.
"I felt sick for two days" she continued as though ready to go on a tangent. You looked up to see Bruce drop his bag and just stood there while Nat wrapped her arms around him, and pulled him in closely.
"Vaccinations will do that. You need some more in a few months" you warned her.
"They are lucky none of us bit them. The Alpha was there watching like a mother hen. I told you he would make a good mate" Melody licked your face again before Blue pushed her out of the way and started whining, wanting to be picked up again. Bucky picked up your bag before reaching down and scratching Cloud behind the ears.
"Thank you for guarding her while you two were away" Bucky smiled at Cloud.
"Thank you for watching our pack" Cloud countered quickly, and you repeated it for Bucky's sake.
"That's my job" Bucky smirked.
"Is it my turn yet?" Wanda asked as you stood up with Blue in your arms. You giggled and walked over to where she was holding her pup Zora and you each gave a one armed hug. "We wanted to stop by this evening after you've eaten. Maybe for some tea?" she asked hopefully.
"Tea sounds lovely," you sighed happily. You went around and hugged various other members of the team, pouting slightly that the boys, Happy, Scott and Clint were already gone for the weekend. You had hoped to see them.
"Is my dame ready to eat?" Bucky asked after you finished hugging Steve.
"I'm starving," you admitted.
"I'll bring your bag to the suite, and I'll come out and sit with you" Bucky promised, leaning down to give you a kiss on the cheek, his beard scratching your cheek and you giggled slightly at the sensation.
"Let Snow and Jasper know I'll be in to see them soon" you smiled at him happily. He put his hand in the small of your back and led you back into the compound, and had you go through the door first before he rushed to the suite to drop off your things.
