Bucky let you sleep most of the afternoon away, and when you woke up again it was supper time. The pair of you brought the pack into the dining room, and they branched off to where their food was waiting for them. Steve was nowhere to be seen, and you looked at Bucky with questions in your eyes, but his face was strained. He clearly didn't like the situation very much, and you chose to let it go.
"How are you feeling, lady Y/N?" Thor asked after you were seated and Bucky had filled your plate for you.
"A little sore" you admitted with a slight flush on your cheeks.
"Not to worry, the baby is safe and sound" he reassured you quickly.
"Are you sure?" Bucky asked a little hesitantly.
"Very, Loki checked her the moment she came into the suite" Thor nodded, understanding that Bucky was anxious.
"Doctor Cho will be here in the morning and will give her a good once over" Tony promised from his seat where he had started passing down the food. "I tried to get her to come today, but she's out of the service area today. Something about one of her vacation houses" he huffed slightly.
"Do we know what they were after yet? It was a pretty bold move to attack when they were in public?" Wanda asked after a moment.
"Steve is working on it with Loki. He's helping with the interrogations for now. We might have to change out Nat on one of the missions for the week and switch her out with Steve if he can't get any information out of them" Tony frowned a bit. "Steve isn't one to use unsanitary methods to get his information, but he might find a talker" he added a bit hopefully. "Who knows, maybe Loki can get a good look inside their minds"
"I was going to ask for permission to leave in the morning" Nat looked up from her plate of food. "They attacked our family in broad daylight, and I want to know why"
"Granted. I'll text Steve and Fury and let them know you are on your way in the morning if they don't have answers" Tony took a bite of his roast beef and hummed to himself.
"Are the boys still coming back tonight from Aunt Mays?" you asked softly, trying to ignore the pain in your side.
"I think it's late night tonight" Pepper gave a serene smile. "It's going to be a busy week for everyone," she added.
"There are a lot of missions. I, for one, am looking forward to it" Thor chuckled. "We should be able to get in and out without the enemy, Hydra, being any the wiser. I am looking forward to this lady Wanda" he looked at her and gave her a toast with his beer bottle.
"I just have to get a little bit of intel and then leave them a virus to deal with the outcome" Wanda's eyes flashed, and you knew she was looking at it as her way of retaliating for what had happened earlier in the day.
Conversation went around the table easily after that, and you invited Sam and Wanda over for tea. Wanda politely declined, saying she wanted to rest up for her mission on Monday, however she would check back in with you when she got home tomorrow. Sam, however, was excited to come over, and Bucky let him know quickly that they would just be brushing the wolves since their winter coats are coming in, and he had promised Cloud.

That night Sam came over and helped the pair of you brush each of the wolves, Bucky making sure to spend a little extra time doting on Cloud, although Blue didn't like it. You made sure to dote as much attention on each wolf that you could. Melody however, was on cloud nine going back more than once or twice to Sam to brush out her fur. Blue and the four pups took most of your attention. Even though Blue got brushed twice, he still whimpered that he wasn't getting as much attention as Cloud. In your eyes, Cloud had worked for it though. He had really fought hard against the Hydra agents, and you knew he had gotten wounded by the pain on your arm.
Sam made a comment about Melody gaining weight, and she growled back that it was the pups. You had a good giggle out of that situation.
When it was time for bed you found yourself just slipping into one of Bucky's t-shirts and making your way to bed to cuddle into Bucky. He was overly worried about the bruise on your side and seemed to be careful on how he held you. You knew he was also abstaining from sex until he received the all clear from Doctor Cho, and didn't hold it against him. It was nice to have a night where he just held you close.
