Missing Shadow Wolves

You rested until lunchtime, at which point Steve and Uncle Brad weren't back yet. Mama had come in during the course of the morning and sat with you, Bucky, Sam and the pack. She was working on a knitting project and seemed content to keep to herself while humming to herself. The balcony door had been left open for the wolves to come and go as they pleased, and took advantage of that fact to varying degrees.
When you went to lunch, Bucky pulled his chair up close to yours and to your surprise mama had made her famous lasagna with homemade pasta. You found out after it was made last night, and the chef only had to warm it up in the oven. Bucky made sure you got extra helpings of lasagna and garlic bread before he served himself. You couldn't help but giggle at his antics. You noticed Vision was asking Wanda if she was eating enough, and Tony was just putting more and more on Pepper's plate. Everyone seemed very excited to see you and Bucky again, and you were being asked a plethora of questions that you didn't have many answers for. The honeymoon was going well so far, and no you weren't feeling off at all besides feeling faint sometimes. Bruce was very interested in Doctor Cho's findings and had some questions of his own. You told him he was free to look at your file and the test results if he wanted to. He seemed quite pleased. Clint smirked and said he couldn't wait for more members of the team to have families of their own.
After lunch you went back to your suite to pack some more clothes, and noticed that the room looked like it was being prepped for construction. Mama came to help, and ended up just taking over while you held Alpine and Blue while sitting on the bed watching mama and Bucky work away at packing the winter wardrobe.
By the time Steve and Uncle Brad got back, mama had gone to the kitchen to help the chef prep the next meal, and you had gone back to the main living room with the pack and Bucky.
"House is ready for you, and the pack" Steve announced as he came into the living room. "We bought you a second mini fridge just for steaks, and packed it pretty tight" Steve added with a smirk.
"That was both of our ideas," Uncle Brad admitted slyly.
"Hopefully we have enough to last us a week before we have to come back for the next exam" you sighed softly.
"I doubt it" Steve shook his head. "You need a second full fridge I think," he added.
"We just need to find the room for it" Bucky pulled you in more. "Now that you are here, I'm going to bring our luggage back to the cabin so it's not too cramped for the pack" he got up.
"You're leaving me?" you asked with a pout.
"Only for an hour, my love. I'll be right back before you wake up from your nap" he leaned down and kissed you softly on the lips. "Who do we owe money to?" he asked, standing up straight again.
"We said it was for you, and they said it was free" Uncle Brad chuckled and you rolled your eyes. Bucky looked confused.
"In other words, you're not finding out" Steve explained. "Did you pack in the wedding gifts?" he asked.
"No, where are they?" Bucky asked, a little surprised it was brought up.
"Still in compound C, I'll help you pack the SUV" Steve clapped him on the back.
"I'll be right back doll" Bucky gave you another quick kiss and left with Steve.
"How are you feeling?" Uncle Brad asked you, sitting down on one of the chairs.
"A little overwhelmed" you whispered once you knew Steve and Bucky were completely gone. "A baby growing this fast, and being tired all of the time... I feel like I won't be much good to the team when I get back from my honeymoon" you pouted again.
"Hey, you're growing a baby pretty fast. Cut yourself some slack" he shook his head.
"Oh!" you exclaimed as you felt another hard kick.
"Is that the baby?" he asked you with a large smile. He got up quickly and placed his hand on your stomach and he felt the second kick. "Oh she's strong," he remarked.
"That's my girl," you smiled.
"Did you need anything?" he asked you.
"No, I should be fine. I feel like I should be doing something" you bit your bottom lip.
"Everyone in this compound is always so damn busy doing something. It's like they don't know when or how to take a break" he nodded.
"Hydra doesn't stop for much" you shook your head. "Shield is always reaching out for help too, which doesn't help matters" you added.
"Yeah, those jets are going all hours of the day. Thankfully everyone is home today. But I noticed they are all either in their labs or the gym" he grumbled.
"They train vigorously. Maybe I could do a bit of that" you started to move, but he pushed softly back.
"I don't think so. You've grown since the wedding, and it's only been a week. You need to take it easy like the doc said" he softly chastised you.
"How about a walk?" you asked.
"I'll walk with you. Come on pack" he called to all the pups, the pack, and Soren. "You guard the compound Alpine, we will be right back" he scratched Alpine behind the ears.
"I'll stay right here and wait for papa" Alpine readily agreed.
Uncle Brad helped you stand up and he watched you like a hawk as you made your way to the balcony door and down the steps. He was only one step behind you the entire way, and once you were at the bottom he held out his arm and you wound your arm through his and started on a slow walk towards the woods. The pups and the pack all ran freely, while Soren took to the skies happily stretching his wings.
You looked around, but didn't see Brutus and the shadow wolf pack, but you did notice the fencing was extended while you were walking. You assumed that they were exploring their additional lands to explore. You did have to stop a few times while walking to take a break. Your head felt a little light, and you were worried about fainting. You certainly didn't want to do that and worry anyone anymore than you already were.

"Oh thank God!" Bucky exclaimed as you and Uncle Brad returned from your walk. "I was so worried" he ran to you and wrapped his arms around you.
"I told you, Alpine said they went for a walk" mama gave him some sass.
"They were gone too long" Bucky muffled as he had his head in the curve of your neck.
"How did it go?" you asked him softly as Uncle Brad and the entire pack came in behind you.
"The living room is full of gifts, and all our clothes are put away" Bucky kissed the side of your neck and continued to just hold you close and inhaling your scent. "You smell like pine trees" he commented.
"We were in the woods," you giggled.
"Did you see the shadow wolf pack?" he asked after a brief hesitation.
"No, no sign of them. They must be exploring more of their territory" you shook your head.
"They have been working on the fencing" Uncle Brad advised. "Your mama and I take the pack out for a walk everyday and we noticed they were out there all weekend."
"Baby?" you said softly to Bucky and he hummed that he heard you. "I need to sit down, I'm a little tired" you told him. He didn't say a word but stood back a fraction and swept you off of your feet like the new bride you were and he brought you to the couch and laid you down. He grabbed some of the decorative pillows and put one under your head and then a few under your legs.
"Mama, uppy" Blue ran over and started pawing that the side of the couch. You reached down and pulled him up and he laid on your chest and Bucky frowned.
"He wants up" you explained.
"He can lay on my lap" he picked up Blue and sat down on the floor in front of you and put Blue on his lap.
"It's not the same, papa" Blue whined.
"He don't like that," Uncle Brad chuckled.
"No, he sure don't" mama giggled, quickly agreeing. Alpine purred loudly and went and laid on your stomach, curling up into a ball.
"Mama, what's for supper?" you asked, trying to keep your eyes open.
"Ribs, dill carrots, garlic mashed potatoes, and cherry cheesecake for dessert" she said you hummed happily.
"Thank you mama" you sighed happily.
"Thank you mama!" Bucky quickly chimed in.
"Alright, where's my girl?" Clint came into the room and saw all of the wolves were laying everywhere on the furniture and the floor. Zephyr barked and jumped up as he came in and he chuckled, picking him up. "For once, I wasn't looking for you little guy" he sighed, giving Zephyr a kiss on the end of his muzzle. He saw you laying on the couch and smirked. "Well this looks familiar" he chuckled again. "Laura has the same pose every time she's pregnant," he remarked.
"I just took a walk" you explained.
"I saw ya, I was up in the weapons room. I was trying to time it for when you would be down here again" he smirked. "Now let's see if I can teach Bucky a few things" he took the pillows out from under your legs and sat down, putting them down on his lap. He then grabbed your socked feet and started giving them the best massage you thought you had ever received and you moaned. Bucky turned quickly to see what was going on, wondering what had made you moan like that, and he looked surprised.
Oh my goodness, thank you" you sighed happily.
"Your feet get swollen, you should get these more often" Clint explained.
"That feels so good" you moaned again as he hit just the right spot. You saw a spark of Bucky's jealousy come out and Steve chuckled at his best friend's expression.
"I missed you kid" he said softly.
"I miss you too Papa Clint" you replied and laid back your head on the pillow and closed your eyes, silently wondering where the Shadow wolf pack was.
