You had intended to go get hooked up to the machine so that the wolves could talk, but you and Snow agreed to wait until Monday to give the news of where the pups were going to be living. You spent most of the day Thursday going through Pinterest while you pouted beside Clint who kept his arm around you and just waited you out. When it came supper time the boys all helped you bring the pups to the dining room. Afterwards you went back to your suite and let the wolves run in and out the balcony door, while Clint and Steve kept you company and played with the pups. When it came time for bedtime, you anxiously looked at your phone for an incoming call but it didn't come. You knew it was a long shot, but Bucky was likely knee deep in interrogations. Once he put his mind to something, especially with a deadline, Bucky was focused. You were half asleep when a single text came through that just said "I love you, get some sleep" and it had a heart at the end. You snuggled Blue a little tighter and went to sleep.
When you got up the following day, you felt sluggish at best. You went and let the wolves out before going to the bathroom and washing up. You took a nice hot shower before coming out and putting on matching pink panties and bra, and then a pair of dark blue distressed skinny jeans as well as a pink undershirt and a white sweater. You decided on a pair of rainbow socks before putting on your red converse sneakers to complete the look. You went back to the bathroom and put your hair back into a braid, and considered putting on makeup, but you thought about how Bucky always insisted you didn't need it and you walked away from it.
Getting to breakfast was a little time consuming, you opted to have the pups follow you by walking their way to the dining room instead. Snow and Jasper helped you guide them, and they obediently went to their ground beef almost right away. The way they wiggled while eating reminded you of Blue when he first started eating. It made you giggle a bit. You quickly joined the rest of the team and looked around the room. Everyone was already in easy conversation, except Bruce was a bit quiet. You could tell he was missing his Nat, just like you were missing Bucky. You reached out a hand, and held his for a moment meaning to comfort him and he gave a small reassuring smile.
"Did you take a look at the mission dockets for next week?" Steve finally broke into your thoughts as you were finishing your meal.
"No, not yet. Is Bucky on a lot of missions?" you asked with an arched eyebrow.
"Just the one on Tuesday, but it might be an overnight one" Sam warned you. You nodded in confirmation that you understood and took out your phone to look over the mission dockets. You were still in the lab, no surprise there, but Bucky was headed to Russia for an overnight mission with Natasha and Steve. You saw the rest of the team seemed to have a few more missions, and felt grateful that they left Bucky mainly alone, you noticed they did that for Natasha as well.
"I can take you out of rotation for the lab if you feel like cooking one day" Tony perked up, seeming to be excited at the notion.
"I'd like that. Maybe Friday?" you asked a little hopefully. "That way we can send everyone on their weekend with full bellies"
"I'll let Laura know I'll be home late next Friday," Clint chuckled. "Food is normally cold by the time I get home anyways"
"Are you going through recipe's for the wedding?" Wanda asked, her face lit up brightly.
"I'm working through some ideas, yes. I want to make sure that what we have everyone likes, and hasn't had a dozen times before" you nodded.
"What about the cake?" Pepper asked quickly.
"You know, we never even talked about the cake" you sat for a moment in shock. "I would have to hire someone to make it" you thought out loud.
"I know a few people. We can also help you find a caterer that will make your recipes" Tony quickly promised.
"Where's the honeymoon going to be?" Nat asked a little excitedly.
"Paris, eventually. After the baby is born, and after they can be left for a bit. I'll need babysitters" you warned them.
"You have an entire compound full of people willing to be a babysitter" Steve gave a slight chuckle.
"We also need to make sure the pack is okay with me leaving, they haven't enjoyed the last month, and neither have I" you admitted after a moment.
"Again, lots of babysitters here" Peter pointed out quickly.
"Your hands are going to be full" you gave a slight giggle, thinking he had honestly no idea. The wolves all came over to get their faces washed, and Blue followed suit. You told him how handsome he looked after you finished wiping his face and he seemed to preen under the attention.
"I went out and fed the shadow wolf pack this morning, they seem to be sticking closer and closer to the compound. Although I doubt they would be ready to come inside anytime soon" Sam broke the small silence.
"I've been meaning to go out and visit with them" you pursed your lips. "Blue gives me regular updates on them"
"Yeah, they come and play with the pups" Bruce finally said something, a hint of a smile on his face. "Anastasia loves the big guy" he chuckled, the irony not lost on him.
"Has she seen your hulk form yet?" you asked, honestly curious.
"No, not yet. I've got a good control on it right now" he shook his head.
"Are you coming to the lab today?" Tony asked you, reminding you that you still had a job to do.
"Sure, I'll come," you quickly nodded. "We still have weapons to make, right?"
"We need a stronger sleeping gas than the last one you guys made. It's not working as well as we hoped" Tony frowned.
"I'll be there too then" Bruce quickly offered.
