Pizza and snuggles

When you got to the dining room you sat down quickly beside Bruce who was already digging into his pizza. You had noticed he didn't eat as much at lunch time, he was too busy on his phone looking at the data again from the tests that you had been working on. You grabbed a plate and started digging into some pizza as well. Blue was still wrapped around your neck, and you were having a hard time maneuvering around him, but you were going to take it. You knew the separation was just as hard on him as it was on you. You knew you couldn't bring him to Shield, because he would be in danger with the Hydra agent, if they did manage to break out of their cell. He would also be under everyone's feet, and you wouldn't be able to run him out as often as he needed. You were a little anxious knowing that Bucky was going back on missions, leaving the pack with whoever was left in the compound while you were out. You knew the team would make sure the pack was taken care of, it would just be harder for them where you, Tony, and Bruce would all be away from the building.
You were halfway through your second slice of pizza when Bucky came into the room. He immediately reached for Blue who let out a loud whine as Bucky took him away from you so you could eat easier. You gave him a grateful smile, but focused on your pizza. You knew the quicker you ate, the quicker you could go back to the suite and get your snuggles in after you checked in with Snow and Jasper and the pups. Melody came over and sat down beside you while she waited for Cloud to eat his steaks and she leaned against your leg. You knew she missed you too. Bucky sat down next to you, and politely waited, while drinking a bottle of water. Even Tony was silent as he ate, he wasn't even on his phone. He did have one hand that held Pepper's hand, and you knew instinctively the separation from Pepper was hard on him too, even though he didn't verbalize it.
"I have a surprise for you, doll" Bucky whispered as you finished eating, and you pushed your plate away.
"Is it snuggles, because I'm in need of those" you wiped your face, and took a sip of water. His face broke out into a grin and he gave a soft chuckle.
"We can have those too," he nodded.
"Good, because seeing you on the phone at night just wasn't doing it for me" you whispered as Nat came into the room as Bruce was finishing and she grabbed his plate and brought it into the kitchen. She came back quickly and held out her hand expectantly and he took it quickly.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow" Bruce stood up and Tony nodded to him.
"See you tomorrow, Bruce" you smiled at their retreating figures and went to put your dishes in the sink. Tony was close behind you putting his dishes away.
"Get some sleep" Tony ruffled your hair and went back to collect Pepper who smiled at him lovingly. The pair of them quickly disappeared, and Cloud barked to grab your attention.
"I need a run" he looked at the living room balcony door, which had steps that led to the grounds.
"By all means" you nodded and walked over to open the door for him. Both he and Melody quickly slipped out, leaving you alone with Bucky and Blue.
"Here" Bucky handed you Blue and you smiled, taking Blue in your arms again. Bucky took a few steps closer to you and bent down swiftly putting one arm behind your knees and the other behind your upper back and he swept you off of your feet. You let out a yelp before breaking out into a laugh. Bucky took hurried steps back towards the suite, barely taking his gaze from your face. He kicked open the suite door and walked in proudly with you.
"Oh, it is about time!" Snow called from her spot on the floor. "We've been waiting forever"
"Welcome home," Jasper barked.
"I guess I better put ya down" Bucky grinned, setting you back down on your feet. You gave him a swift kiss on his cheek before you placed Blue back on the floor and you made your way over to where Snow and Jasper were laying on the floor with their pups. You leaned down and gave them both kisses on their muzzles. Bucky took a seat on the couch and watched you lovingly as you laid down on the floor beside them.
"How was your week?" you asked with a smile on your face.
"The Alpha took good care of us" Jasper reassured you.
"He was a little lost at first, like he didn't know what to do with us now that you weren't there to tell him what we were saying. I think he was just lost that he didn't have his mate anymore all of the sudden. He brought us our meals before he ate himself every day without fail. He left the balcony door open almost the whole time, except when it was raining. Then we had to go looking for him to let us outside. We never had to go far. He spent a lot of time here with Steve, and holding Blue. He even started giving us these delicious things called "treats"" she updated you.
"Treats?" you looked at Bucky with questions in your eyes.
"I ordered some fresh, organic dog treats to see if they would like them online," Bucky explained.
"They liked them," you giggled.
"Yeah, they finished the whole bag. I have another five coming in the mail tomorrow" he grinned as he watched you start to pet the pups that whined at the sudden attention.
"Have we decided on names yet?" you queried.
"We haven't talked too much about names yet," Jasper admitted.
"Those first howls are going to come quickly," you warned him.
"We know, we just are enjoying them at the moment" Snow licked your cheek in response. "For the record, Blue ate most of the treats"
"He's a growing boy" you giggled and sat up.
"Are you done working away from home now?" Jasper asked quickly.
"No, the antiserum didn't work out. We had to start from scratch. It's going to be a while that I'll be leaving home during the week and working elsewhere, and coming home on the weekend" you admitted softly. You saw Bucky's face drop a little, but he quickly tried to hide it.
"We believe in you doll" Bucky gave a quick smile. "There isn't a better team for finding an antiserum"
"To be honest we would probably move faster if I could leave my room in the mornings" you admitted with a sigh, crawling up onto the couch and moving towards him. Bucky tapped his lap and you smiled, crawling up onto his lap and settling down with your head in the crook of his neck, opposite from Blue. Blue let out a whine and moved so he was closer to you and gave you a kiss on the cheek.
"Mama love mama" Blue hummed as he was half on you, half on Bucky still.
"Mama loves you too, Blue," you sighed happily, feeling complete all over again. You looked over towards the back of the room and saw that Cloud and Melody came back into the room and you smiled softly at both of them.
"Did we miss anything?" Cloud asked as he jumped up on the loveseat with Melody close behind him.
"Just some cuddles" you spoke through your mind, just basking in the love in the room.
"So I was thinkin, we will get a babysitter for a few hours tonight" Bucky murmured softly on top of your head, and gave you a soft kiss in your hair.
"Whatever would we do?" you giggled and he pulled back giving you his flirty smirk.
"Make up for lost time" he wiggled his eyebrows at you.
"That we can most certainly do" you wriggled slightly in his lap from the pure excitement of what was to come. You heard a knock at the door and Jasper gave a warning bark before Steve and Sam came in. "Hey boys" , you greeted them with a smile.
"Good, we were worried you two would be naked already" Sam grinned from ear to ear.
"No, but we need a babysitter for a few hours" Bucky looked at them both appraisingly.
"I'll take Blue, it's my turn. You two have had him all week" Sam offered quickly.
"Thank you Sam" you blushed, knowing they were fully aware why you wanted a babysitter.
"You two have barely had time to celebrate your upcoming nuptials" Sam shrugged and went and sat beside Melody who turned to lick him on the hand as he started raking his fingers through her fur. Steve took the large chair and Jasper came over for some ear scratches that Steve gladly provided. Bucky held you a little tighter, and Blue finally climbed down from being around his neck and touching both of you, to lay in your lap with a soft sigh.
"How is he doing today?" Steve motioned to Blue.
"Now that Y/N is home, he's not as clingy, thankfully" Bucky gave you another kiss on top of your head. You tried to curl more into Bucky's welcoming arms and he gave a soft chuckle.
"Alright Melody, do you mind if I get down and see those puppies again?" Sam asked her pointedly and she gave a soft bark. Sam got off the couch and got right down on the floor quickly followed by Steve. The pair of them started playing with the pup's under Snow and Jasper's watchful eyes. You gave a soft sigh of contentment and felt Blue slip off your lap as he got down on the floor to play with the pup's as well, seeming to want to be a part of the game. Steve seemed to really be attached to the female white wolf pup, snuggling her in close to his neck. You saw him whispering softly to her, and you knew it was just sweet nothings and telling her his name. You automatically knew that she was going to be living with Steve once she was old enough.
"How is the testing going?" Sam finally looked up and asked the question that the wolves had already beaten him to.
"It's going to be a long road, unfortunately" you frowned a bit, and moved slightly in Bucky's lap to look at him better.
"How long of a road?" Steve asked in a whisper, not wanting to disturb the pup.
"We don't know. We are testing the blood samples to see if we even can reverse the serum they came up with. I believe we can, but it's taking all of our resources to find what is essentially a cure for it. I just wish we could work from here instead, or at least come home to sleep at night" you pouted slightly.
"It is a lot harder with all the pups without you four around" Sam admitted.
"Our hands were full all week. They are growing so quickly. Normally Cloud barks some sense into the pups at least, if you aren't there" Bucky added.
"It's a learning curve for all of us" you gave a soft smile. You heard another knock at the door and looked over to see Wanda and Vision were waiting by the door. Vision was holding Zora, while Wanda was holding two large mugs of tea. "Welcome, come in!" you invited them in quickly.
"We were afraid of intruding" Vision walked in and stopped to see Steve and Sam on the floor with the pups. He quickly put down Zora and Blue perked up and ran to her to play.
"You are always welcome" Bucky said what you were thinking. Wanda came in and sat on the love seat, while Vision took the chair this time. Wanda passed you, your tea on her way by.
"Thank you Wanda" you beamed.
"It's peppermint, for your stomach" she gave a sly smile.
"Has your stomach been bothering you doll?" Bucky asked worriedly.
"Mostly just in the morning" you shook your head. "I'm okay, Bucky bear" you gave him a kiss on the cheek. Sam and Steve immediately started chuckling.
"I'm going to start calling you Bucky bear," Sam teased.
"That's for my dame only" Bucky growled at him warningly.
"Don't poke the bear," Steve laughed. Even you giggled at that one.
"What's the plan for the weekend?" Wanda asked, putting an end to the gentle teasing.
"We are definitely going to the farmer's market on Sunday," Bucky advised quickly.
"I'm not doing good with mornings still, honey" you frowned a bit.
"You'll be with me. I'll carry you if I have to" he winked. "I miss just getting out with my better half"
"You are such a charmer," you giggled.
"Three and a half more weeks until you can hear the baby's heartbeat" Wanda wiggled her eyebrows at you and both you and Bucky broke out into grins.
"Seven and a half until the morning sickness dies down" you sighed happily. "Potentially" you added as an afterthought.
"I'm sure it will be before that, not to worry" Wanda gave a radiant smile, and you couldn't help but mirror it. You certainly hoped deep down it went away quickly. You sipped at your tea as the four of you watched Sam and Steve play with the pups on the floor. Snow got up and went outside for a moment, showing that she truly trusted everyone in the room with her pups. Jasper seemed to relax a bit as easy conversation went around the room and he went outside after Snow came back in. Blue and Zora played on the floor with one of the many stuffed toys that Blue had, barking playfully and going back and forth. You finished your tea, and put the empty cup on the coffee table before snuggling back into Bucky again. Vision seemed to be enjoying himself, and as soon as Melody and Cloud jumped off of the loveseat he went over to sit beside Wanda and put his arm around her, seeming more comfortable with her than to sit without her.
"It's getting late" Sam looked at the time and sat up to get up off the floor. Steve frowned a bit and gave a soft sigh before giving the white pup back to Snow who licked his hand.
"Come along Zora" Wanda called to her pup.
"Mama" Zora ran to her and jumped up. Vision took her mug as well as yours while Wanda easily picked up Zora.
"I'll see you in the morning" Wanda bent down to give you a kiss on the cheek. You smiled and quickly kissed her cheek as well.
"I'll be taking this little guy here" Sam grabbed Blue who gave a few playful barks. He also grabbed a few dog toys for him.
"I'll be up to grab him in a bit" Bucky promised.
"Don't worry about it. He can spend the night if that's what you need" Sam winked. "I know you two like your alone time"
"Do they ever" Cloud remarked and you blushed.
