Another kind of mission

You didn't get to enjoy your morning cuddle as much as you had wanted to with Bucky. The morning alarm went off on Bucky's phone since you both had plans today, and you both groaned at the shrill sound coming out of his phone.
"How about it, doll? Do you think you can move?" Bucky teased you softly, still having you wrapped in his arms.
"I'll have to" you huffed and rolled out of his arms. You stood up and felt a little sore, and gave a small shiver at the loss of the body warmth. You gave yourself a bit of stretch and Bucky watched you with a grin on his face. He finally reached for his phone and turned off the alarm while you wandered into the closet. You picked out your favorite powder blue summer dress, but paired it with a pair of dark blue flats and one of Bucky's black zip up hoodies. You were about to walk out when Bucky walked in with a huge smile on his face. "You look pleased with yourself," you giggled.
"I don't think even Stevie could punch the grin off of my face right now" he chuckled. "You know how to wake up a man"
"Anything for my Alpha" you purred, leaning up and kissing him softly on the lips. You ran your hand across his naked chest and walked past him, heading into the bathroom to focus on putting on some light makeup. Bucky walked in while you were finishing putting on your foundation wearing dark blue jeans, a tight black long sleeve shirt, and one of his own black zip up hoodies. You raked your eyes up and down his body, and noted his black combat boots and he smirked coming closer to you. "Oh no you dont, you are not ruining my makeup" you warned him.
"You aren't even done yet" he chuckled and leaned forward and kissed you softly on the cheek before he slid on top of the bathroom counter and watched you as you continued working on your makeup. "You know you don't need that, right?" he asked in barely a whisper.
"I feel better with it," you shrugged. "Besides, soon enough I won't have the time for it anymore" you admitted.
"You are covering my marks" he pouted as you covered some of the kiss marks.
"We are going to the bank, I have to seem at least a little professional" you rolled your eyes.
"I like it better when people can see that you belong to me" he growled softly. He watched as you started putting on your eyeshadow. You just went with some tans, and a slight shimmer. As you started on your mascara he slid off of the counter, and made his way out of the bedroom. You heard him open the suite door while Blue suddenly came barreling into the bathroom.
"Mama! I'm so hungry!" Blue whined.
"I'm almost done, my love" you giggled and went to do your lipstick.
"But I'm hungry now" he whined again.
"Mama just needs to finish" you sighed and tried to do your lipstick as quickly as possible. Blue started pawing at your leg and you finally blotted your lips and threw away the tissue. You bent down and picked him up, and Blue wriggled in your arms. You walked out into the living room to see Jasper, Snow, Cloud and Melody were all waiting expectantly by the door with Bucky leaning against the doorframe holding the four pups.
"You look beautiful" Bucky was still smiling. "I still think you'd look just as good without it"
"Are we trying ground meat today?" you asked Snow and Jasper.
"It's time," Snow confirmed.
"You mentioned it the other day," Bucky reminded you.
"They are just growing up so fast," you sighed softly. Bucky started leading the way down the hallway with his hands obviously full. You felt almost giddy watching the way he nearly strutted down the hallway, and the prideful way he held his head up high. You followed him towards the kitchen where you saw there were bowls already ready for the four additional pups. Bucky bent down and put one pup at each bowl, and Snow walked over and took a nibble of each bowl to show them how to eat before she went to her own bowl of cubed steaks.

After breakfast both you and Bucky left the wolves in Steve, Clint, and Sam's care while you rushed out to go to the bank. You opened joint chequing and savings accounts, and a joint credit card just in case. You both dealt with the same bank already, so transferring your money in had been quite easy. They reassigned your old bank cards to the new bank numbers for when you used your debit card, and you both closed out your old accounts. Bucky took a minute to send Tony the new banking information for both of you while you were still at the appointment. The banker had been very friendly, and offered to be your private banker. You both quickly agreed that would be easiest for both of you, just in case you needed to have something special done on your bank accounts or if something went wrong. They even changed all of your automatic payments for you before you left the appointment, saving you lots of time of having to call so many places to update your banking information. You were surprised at how much money you both had now, but Bucky didn't bat an eye. He kept telling you that money didn't really matter to him, he just wanted to make sure that you were taken care of in case something ever happened to him.
After you were done at the bank, you both headed out for a light lunch and Bucky held your hand for nearly the entire meal. You couldn't help but feel blessed to be with such an amazing man. He had to take a call towards the end of the meal from the architect who let him know the contractor was at the cabin and had started on the new renovations. He was quick to reassure you they were looking to make the process as short and painless as possible. While he was on the phone you went on Pinterest to look for ideas for the three new bedrooms. One was obviously going to be for Steve, who you had a feeling would be visiting often once you were on maternity leave. You also figured Bucky would take paternity leave as well, and not leave your side once the baby arrived for the first few months. You made a new board for Steve's room, the guest room, and of course the baby's room. You weren't sure what color scheme to go for, and thought a pale yellow would be suitable since it would be for a girl or a boy. You found a few old fashioned baby room ideas and fell in love with them. As soon as Bucky was off the phone he sat directly beside you in the restaurant and cooed over the different ideas that you had found. He agreed that Steve's room should be a dark blue color, while the other guest room you both agreed to go and look at paint chips another time to see what stood out to you. Bucky grinned and agreed that your shared bedroom could be a moss green to your delight, and he was quick to let the contractor know that you both would be looking in the next week at what colors you wanted painted on the walls. You were partial to the yellow you already had in the bathroom, but felt like it was time for a change. You didn't want to change the suite at the compound, but changing it up at the cabin since it was going to be for both of you now seemed like a good move to make.
Driving back to the compound, you felt like nothing could bring you down. You both had a pretty productive day, and just got to enjoy each other's company. Bucky wanted to stop at the car dealership to see about a new car for the two of you, since the old truck that you had wouldn't be sufficient for a baby or for all of the wolves you had now. You were both thinking of a minivan or an SUV to fit the entire family. You talked him out of it for now, because you were starting to feel a bit tired, and wanted to just go home and cuddle in your living room for a little bit. You had been putting off work the last few days, but Tony seemed pretty understanding. You all admittedly needed some time away from the lab since you had been working non stop for weeks now. You knew even Bruce had taken some extra time to spend up in his suite with Nat, and had been avoiding the lab as well.
When you got in the door Bucky held your hand as you both made your way to your suite with smiles on your faces. When you walked in you saw Tony was there and he looked a bit upset, and was sitting with Clint, Steve and Sam.
"Tony?" you asked in surprise. He didn't normally visit.
"I didn't want to call" he stood up from the well stuffed chair and frowned even more. "Shield was able to get a few more of those Hydra agents that had the werewolf serum, but they need to be processed and interrogated..." he drifted off.
"You need my James, don't you?" you asked, realization dawning on you.
"Come on, Tony. We are finally back together. It's been over a month" Bucky growled slightly.
"Nat is going with you. Fury asked for both of you since the Shield agents couldn't break them. You both are the best" Tony sighed.
"For how long?" you asked in a whimper.
"It should just be an overnight thing. Between Nat and Bucky, they will break them" Tony tried to reassure you.
"I'll go pack you an overnight bag" you whispered, not liking this at all, but knew it was part of the job. You were having such a perfect day too.
"Nat's already packed her bag Bucky, she's waiting on you" Tony really looked like he would rather be anywhere else, delivering different news. You left the room at that point, not wanting to start crying in front of everyone. You grabbed the overnight bag, and packed Bucky two day's worth of clothes, just in case he didn't make it back after one night, some soaps, and some of his favorite weapons that he kept in the safe in the closet. Bucky came in while you were finishing up and just wrapped his arms around you and kissed your forehead.
"Don't forget to eat" he sighed heavily.
"You don't forget to eat" you repeated back to him quickly. "Give them Hell" you pulled back with a pout.
"I'll be home on time for us to go see Clint and his family tomorrow. I won't be going easy on these goons" he promised.
"Don't make promises you can't keep" you sniffed, leaning your forehead against his strong chest.
"I hope our bedroom still smells like you" he huffed and pulled back.
"Want to bring my wolfie?" you gestured to the teddy bear on the bed.
"Hold him extra tight for me tonight. I'll be home tomorrow" he gave you a kiss on the forehead before resting his forehead against yours for a moment.
"I love you, be safe" you whispered. He moved forward to kiss you softly on the lips before pulling back and grabbing the overnight. He slowly left the room, and you followed him out. He said his goodbyes to each of the wolves, and Blue whined not liking being separated from his papa all the sudden. He quickly left out the front door and Clint watched as your eyes watered up.
"Come here kid" he called you to the couch. You went over and sat beside him, while Blue got up on your lap. "It's part of the job," he reminded you, putting his arm over your shoulders and pulling you in.
