Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Mama arrives

When you got to the breakfast table, everyone except for Sam was present and accounted for. The pack branched off to go get something to eat and you sat between Wanda and Bucky.
"Where's Sam?" Tony asked almost immediately.
"Sam is going to be late, if he shows up at all" Bucky easily replied.
"He's with the shadow wolf pack and they are playing right now, and getting some affection" you gave a soft smile. "Our Sam was the last to come around to the wolves, but he certainly found his way around with them" you gave a gentle sigh.
"Do you think they will start coming inside?" Loki seemed invested in this, and a small smirk on his face.
"I wouldn't doubt it at this point. They seem to be coming around to the idea of being domesticated" Bucky shrugged. You took what you wanted for food, and handed him the platter. He put a few more portions on your plate before he started filling his own plate. You giggled and pushed him playfully on his arm.
"So I'm headed to get your mom and Billy after breakfast, and Tony is headed to get Uncle Brad and his family. The rooms are already prepared for them, and you have nothing to worry about. We should be back by supper time, Songbird" Clint grinned at you.
"Thank you papa Clint. Are you taking Zephyr with you?" you asked curiously, thinking you would offer to take care of him while he was gone.
"Yeah, he's my little shadow. I have some movies loaded up on my tablet for him to watch during the flight. He likes watching animated movies with animals in them. Disney plus has been great. The kids even made him his own profile there and loaded up moves as suggestions for him to watch" Clint smiled proudly.
"Wow, he's really getting spoiled," you giggled.
"Cedar and Koa like watching us play video games" Peter smirked from his spot at the table.
"They have their own beds and chew toys they play with while we are playing at night," Pietro added quickly.
"Did Tony tell you that he's adding a daycare to the compound?" Pepper asked excitedly.
"Really?" you asked in surprise.
"Since we are both expecting he wanted to make sure we would stay close to home" Wanda gave a knowing smile.
"There's going to be a large playground added outside for the wolves, and for the human babies" Tony nodded. "The daycare is going to be for pups during the day, and for human babies," he added.
"And to think, we only started out with one wolf" you giggled.
"I'm glad things have changed," Happy grinned. "May was so excited over the weekend for Cedar and Koa. She said if she didn't have an apartment, she would think about getting a dog with me" he puffed out his chest a little with pride.
"Are you thinking of moving in with one another?" Nat asked, while Bruce beside her looked a little surprised.
"We've been talking a little bit about it. She knows I need to live at the compound during the week, and I talked to Tony about it. She might move in with me, and we will get a place for the weekends and vacations" Happy nodded, seeming almost excited at the prospect.
"I like May, she's been good for you" Scott nodded approvingly. "Speaking about wolves, would it be okay if Cassie and Hope meet the pack, and the pups this weekend?" he asked a little hopefully.
"Of course! Blue would love the extra attention" you giggled.
"So would Seraphina. I want her to get used to meeting new people before we start taking her for walks in the park" Steve nodded and added on quickly

Sam came in towards the end of breakfast seeming proud of himself. His chest was pushed out a bit more than usual and he was walking with a bit of a strut. Loki asked him how things went and Sam went into a play by play of everything that happened with the Shadow wolf pack. He was clearly excited that they had chosen him as the bridge to humans. Tony and Clint politely waited for him to finish eating before they both quickly made their exit. Tony brought Edwin with him, while Clint brought Zephyr. You found yourself heading to the kitchen to start on a homemade meal for the whole family's arrival. Bucky didn't say a word, but came into the kitchen, turned on your music and gave your cookbook a cursory glance before he started taking all of the ingredients out of the fridge before you could get to it.
You spent most of your day in the kitchen with Bucky, he would help you where he could and keep an eye on things when you had to run to the bathroom. He also took a break to take the wolves outside. The only time you stepped away from the kitchen was to eat, and Tony had ordered in the burger platters that you had grown so fond of with extra pickles on yours. Wanda announced that she was going into your room with Nat to pack your overnight bag for tomorrow night.
Towards the end of the day, when you knew the jets were due to land you made your way quickly to your suite to have a shower while Bucky took his turn watching the food. You got dressed in a light blue fall dress, and put on a pair of uggs so you wouldn't get a chill. You took a moment to look in the mirror to admire the light shimmer of makeup you had put on and smiled proudly to yourself. You were still nervous but excited to see your family. You rubbed a hand over your small baby bump and sighed softly to yourself before heading back to the kitchen. Bucky pulled you in for a brief kiss before he hurried to go take a quick shower as well. You took a moment to make some tea when Cloud came into the kitchen. You looked out to the living room where a majority of the pack was laying on the furniture. Blue was laying on the back of the couch and watching you closely. You blew him a kiss and double checked the food. It was ready, and you were trying to keep it warm. Bucky had even already set the table, so there was nothing left for you to do. You slowly sat down on the floor and Cloud gave a soft huff before coming over and leaning against you while going under your arm and nuzzled in.
"What's wrong?" you whispered to Cloud.
"I'm worried about you, you are tired" he huffed again.
"I think that comes with the current status" you kissed him on top of his head and he licked your cheek.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Billy and Soren again" he sighed internally. "It seems to be taking forever"
"They'll be here soon" you assured him, crossing your legs in front of you.
"Uncle Brad will be bringing his kids too, wont he?" he asked tentatively.
"Yes" you nodded with a slight smirk. He huffed slightly and you giggled. "Alpine overrules the cats here, and the dogs will behave themselves, I'm sure of it. They are all almost grown."
"I wanted to bite that cat last time," he huffed again.
"I know, but it will be better this time, they are on your turf" you reminded him. "Did you warn the others?" you whispered with your mind.
"They are already nervous. I didn't want to worry them" he admitted. You gave him another kiss on his snowy head and he just nuzzled into you. You heard movement in the hallway, and the clack of nails on the floor. Billy came around the corner wagging his tail and went directly to you and Cloud.
"There's our Songbird" Billy pressed his forehead against yours, and then against Cloud's. "Your mama insisted on checking your room first, but I had a feeling in my bones you would be in the kitchen."
"What are you doing on the floor?" Clint's voice suddenly caught you off guard and you gave an apologetic smile.
"Resting?" you asked.
"I'll put the food on the table, get off the floor. That's no good for the baby" he huffed. "Your mama is looking for ya, and Tony was coming in for a landing in five minutes" Clint held out his hand and you took it. He slowly pulled you to your feet. "You better go find your mama" he reminded you.
"I'll go see the pack" Billy told you, and Cloud led the way to the living room. You couldn't help but be amazed at how quickly Billy was already making himself at home. "Head to your suite" he called over his shoulder.
You sighed and nodded, making your way down the long hallway only to see Bucky and your mama coming out of the suite. Bucky's hair was still wet, but he had his red henley on with dark blue jeans. Your mama looked up and she clapped her hands together in excitement.
"My baby!" she cried out and started picking up her pace towards you. You skipped towards her and threw your arms around her quickly taking in the tight hug she was giving you. "Oh look at you" she pulled back and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek. "Let me see" she looked you up and down. "Look at that tiny baby bump" she cooed, running her hand over your bump.
"Motherhood looks good on her" Bucky smirked.
"Of course it does, I always knew that" mama chuckled. "I caught your fiance trying to put on those atrocious gloves again" she started to give Bucky a sassy eye.
"Bucky" you said, reprimanding him with your tone.
"I never met your uncle Brad's family before" he huffed a little.
"They are going to love the whole package, stop worrying so much" you reached up and touched him on the cheek.
"I warned those kids of his and their companions to mind themselves while they are here. Oh and little Alpine is so sweet! He ran from me, but I'll get some cuddles out of him yet" mama wrapped her arm around Bucky's vibranium one as though to show she wasn't afraid of it.
"Alpine is Bucky's companion" you giggled softly.
"It only makes sense," mama shrugged. "Now I could smell some ribs cooking, what else did you make? Where's my favorite little witch?" She seemed to be a bundle of energy.
"I'll text her" you pulled out your phone and told Wanda that mama was there. She wrote back she would be right down and you put your phone away. "Come on, Billy is waiting in the living room with the rest of the pack," you warned.
"I can't wait!" mama started pulling on Bucky's arm and you couldn't help but follow them both to the living room post haste.
