Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Finishing your walk, you felt excited for bedtime already. Bucky had a habit of either holding your hand, or keeping his flesh hand on the small of your back the whole walk. It reminded you of all the touches he was capable of when it was just the two of you, and you shivered in anticipation. When you got back to the back staircase, the pup's raced up the stairs to the balcony and you saw Vision had got to the door and opened it up quickly for them to come in, with Cloud and Melody at the tail end to go in, just in front of both of you.
"How did it go?" Tony asked expectantly as you walked through the threshold of the door.
"Good, we spoke to the Shadow wolf pack for a little bit. The little ones started to learn how to track a scent, and they also learned how to play fetch" Bucky answered for you, with a large smile on his face.
"How are they fitting in?" Wanda asked quickly.
"They aren't used to so many humans, and not being afraid of them" you smiled softly, feeling Bucky put his right arm around you and pulling you in close. Blue found one of the dog beds and collapsed into it tiredly after getting a drink of water. The other three pups surrounded the water dish and drank happily before resting close to it.
"They are so tuckered out" Pepper giggled and walked over to pick up Edwin who whimpered but continued to sleep in her arms.
"They had a big walk" Cloud chipped in and you repeated it for him.
"It does seem like a big walk when you are that small" Bruce agreed quickly, and gave Cloud a scratch behind the ears. Melody went directly to Sam and crawled up on his lap and huffed out, waiting for him to give her the attention she deserved. Sam didn't disappoint, and started scratching her head, and carding his fingers through her fur. She hummed happily to herself and nuzzled into him more.
"I just heard from the boys, they will be home Monday morning, so you'll miss out on seeing them" Wanda looked over a little sadly. "Peter wanted a little extra time with his Aunt May for the weekend, but they will be back in time to care of the wolves," she reassured Bucky.
"Good, I have a mission Monday" Bucky looked a little worried. "I have to leave right after breakfast"
"We have to leave Sunday night" Tony frowned, and both you and Bruce looked up at him a little dejectedly.
"Why Sunday?" Bruce demanded.
"The Hydra agent almost escaped, and the sleeping gas is wearing off even more quickly. We have to find something stronger for him, while we continue working on the antiserum. Fury found a way around Friday's protocols and got a hold of me" he admitted.
"That's interesting, and he almost escaped?" you started mulling over the information in your head.
"Fury also set up our permanent rooms this time, so we can leave our stuff behind if we want to. We are going to be closer to the lab this way, and the beds will be a bit bigger" Tony gave a small smile.
"I'll bring some extra stuff this time" you decided with a sigh. "Like my wolf stuffy that Bucky bought me"
"I'll spray my cologne on it" Bucky winked at you and you giggled and leaned into his hold.
"I found a great documentary on Jupiter, if you are up for watching it" Steve offered after a moment of silence, knowing that everyone was feeling a little down about Tony's news.
"Sure, punk" Bucky led you towards a free spot on the couch and waited for you to sit down before taking a seat beside you, with his arm pulling you in close.
"We are going to take Anastasia upstairs and get Bruce packed for a few weeks, just in case" Nat announced, going over to pick up her pup. You could tell she was a little put out over the news.
"We are going to do the same" Pepper gestured to Tony to follow her.
"I'll go get the popcorn" Wanda announced, getting up quickly. She seemed excited at the prospect of staying in. Vision went and collected Zora to lay in his arms. She just nuzzled right in, but continued to sleep. You saw Cloud go to Steve and jump up beside him on his couch, and put his head on his lap. You mused at the vast difference in size from Cloud to Melody, she was a bit smaller, but Cloud was a lot more robust and full of muscles.
"When the vet came, did they weigh the pack?" you looked at Bucky curiously.
"They did, I was surprised that Cloud is a hundred and forty five pounds. He's solid muscle" Bucky grinned in response. "Blue only weighs thirty so far"
"He will grow up quickly" you smiled at him, nuzzling into his chest while you waited for Wanda to come back to the room. You didn't have to wait long, when Wanda came back into the room and sat down with a satisfied sigh. Steve quickly turned on the documentary and you watched in rapt attention.
