Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Compound A

Supper that night was not that eventful. You enjoyed the fish and chips for a change, and knew you would love to have the coleslaw again soon. You had added a bit of salt and pepper to it to give it a bit of a kick, which made it just perfect. Dessert was a hit for everyone, and you were surprised at how quickly some of the pies and cookies were disappearing. Even Sam was taking extra helpings of the peach pie, and goading on Loki and Thor to do the same. Both you and Wanda felt a sense of pride in your day's work, seeing how happy everyone was with their treats.
Afterwards you all mostly separated, going to your own rooms. Clint came to visit with Zephyr, while Sam and Steve just randomly showed up. You had been reading your book when they showed up, while Bucky was eating a few slices of his pie in the small kitchenette. The night wasn't that exciting, but well spent with people you had come to think of as family. Your phone went off a few times with pictures from Scott who was hanging out with Peitro and Peter in Peter's room, pointing out that the pups acted a lot like Blue did when he was their age.
When they had left for the night, Bucky opened up the back door and let the wolves out to run down the balcony on their own while you gave Alpine a little snuggle. You had been planning on finishing your book this evening, but life had other plans and you were okay with that. You took the time to carry Alpine to the bedroom and set him down on the bed, before you went to the closet to change into a black satin negligee. You headed to the bathroom to use the facilities and wash up before you came back out. Bucky was calling to the pack to come back in, and Alpine was waiting on the pillows for you to come lay down. You finally slipped into the bed, and moved to the middle, knowing Bucky liked to have the side by the door. Alpine did a small jump from the pillows to your hip and laid down, purring loudly. You smiled softly to yourself and waited for Bucky to come to bed, slowly falling asleep to the rhythmic purr from little Alpine.

When you woke up in the morning, Bucky was still snoring from behind you, and the pack were all snuggled into the two of you on the bed. Blue had managed to somehow find room at your stomach and was laying on his back, and Alpine had remained unmoved and still laid on your hip.
"Alpine?" you called out to him with your mind.
"Yes, mama?" he started kneading his paws into your hip.
"Mama needs to get up," you warned him. He simply got up and jumped onto Bucky's side and you shimmied down on the bed, out of Bucky's tight embrace. You quickly went to use the facilities and came back out to see the entire pack had their heads up and were all watching you expectantly. You knew if you went for your walk without waking up Bucky first he would worry, so you went into the closet and quickly got changed into a pair of maroon leggings and a white sweater and your running shoes. You came back out and went to the side of the bed and leaned down and kissed Bucky on his stubbled cheek.
"Good morning sugar," he said, his voice slightly gravelly.
"Good morning handsome," you cooed to him. "I'm taking the wolves for their walk," you whispered.
"Not without me" he announced quickly. He turned to look at you and got a huge smile on his face. "It should be illegal for you to look that pretty first thing in the morning" he licked his top lip and gave a flirty smile.
"I'm not even wearing any makeup" you blushed.
"You never needed it," he winked at you. "Now kiss me properly" he reached for you and you leaned into kiss him softly on the lips. He hummed into the kiss happily before he pulled you down onto the bed. You burst out into laughter while Alpine jumped out of the way and made his way to the living room instead. "Stay there until I get changed" he gave a half order, half request and rolled out of bed.
He went into the closet and changed into his dark blue jeans, and a burgundy Henley before he came back out again. He put on his black boots, and a black hoodie and strutted towards you with a twinkle in his eye. You sat up in bed and puckered your lips automatically and he moved in for a swift kiss. You sighed happily and he helped you out of bed again, his flesh hand moving down to your stomach to rub the baby bump.
"For luck" he chuckled when you giggled. "I can't wait for them to keep growing," he added happily. "You should wear a jacket" he added as you started making your way towards the door.
"Bucky bear," you groaned.
"Come on, for me?" he asked, pouting slightly and holding one of your hands. You huffed and hesitantly nodded. He grinned and went into the closet to grab you your winter leather jacket and came back to hold it out for you. He helped you put it on, and you zipped it up in the front. He moved past you and opened the door wide and gestured for you to walk out first. The wolves all jumped up and ran out the door first and you quickly followed behind. Bucky gave your behind a playful swat on your way by and you couldn't help but giggle. The pack raced down the stairs while you took your sweet time going down each step. You were already sweating in your big jacket and sweater, but you didn't want to disappoint Bucky.
Blue had snuck out a ball, and brought it to Bucky as soon as he hit the bottom step. Bucky grinned and threw the ball as far as he could, and the entire pack took off. He reached for your hand and started leading you through the wooded pathway.

You met up with the shadow wolves again during your walk, and they took part in playing ball with the pack. It was fun to watch them all interacting with one another. Brutus played with Blue, not as interested in playing ball. He reported he hadn't seen any of the monsters in the woods, but they were keeping an eye out still. You warned them about Tony having people come in to put in more cameras and fences up and he knew enough that they needed to stay away from the workers.
When you went in for breakfast, Thor seemed excited that he was getting out for the day with Sam, Steve and Bucky. Loki had disguised his axe as an umbrella for the occasion, and he was playing with it at the table. Tony didn't seem impressed, but was allowing it. Nat had decided she was going to hang out with you and Wanda for the day, since Bruce had indeed indicated that he wanted to work in the lab for the rest of the week. Clint and Scott announced they were going to hang out in the living room for the day with Zephyr, offering to take the rest of the wolves on as well. Zora and Anastasia seemed excited at the prospect, and Edwin whined that he wanted to stay with his dad. You relayed that information and Tony seemed secretly pleased at the prospect that he wanted to stay with him. Nat and Wanda were happy that their pups wanted some time with other wolves. Vision decided he wanted to go hang out with Clint and Scott. Both Peter and Pietro were headed to school for the day.
When breakfast was over, Bucky took a minute to give you a kiss and he lingered while the boys groaned at him that they wanted to get a move on. As soon as he left, both Peter and Pietro rushed out the door, quickly followed by Pepper and Happy. You helped to clear off the table before Wanda and Nat reminded you that you had a mission at hand.
Loki clearly took his mission as your protector to heart and led the way to Compound A. A majority of the pack had stayed behind in the living room, but you were joined by Cloud as always. Nat and Wanda walked arm in arm together as you made your way to the spacious building.
"I can't believe in just a couple of days your last name is going to be Barnes" Wanda sighed happily. "I just knew you two would fall in love once you were done fighting" she cooed.
"I could tell he was attracted to her, but the mouth on the two of them" Nat chuckled.
"I'm sorry to have missed so much. I would have loved to have seen the relationship unfold" Loki said, looking over his shoulder.
"The moment he knew her secret, he became a changed man" Wanda grinned.
"I was wondering how long it would take the team to find out that she was being abused" Loki hummed to himself. "What worried me was that she wasn't fighting back, but then again, I find Midgardians odd sometimes."
"My human is stubborn" Cloud commented, and you reached down to card your fingers through his fur.
"Just as stubborn as you" you whispered into his mind.
"I smell paint" he whispered back and you audibly sniffed, but didn't smell anything yet. Loki opened the door to Compound A and the scent hit you like a brick wall.
"You called it" you looked at him and he held his head up proudly and led the way in.
"Ooh, this is so exciting" Wanda exclaimed as she followed you and Cloud in, with Loki taking up the rear.
"Tony's been up to something" Nat said in a singsong voice. You walked down the hallway into the main conference room and gasped. Tony had painted the walls the light blue from your wedding colors, and the navy blue for the trim. There was the center stage in the back with floor to ceiling windows behind it that led out to a balcony. You could see that the interior decorators were adding branches and trees around the room to decorate it like you were going to be outside. You were floored that they had gone so far for you.
"It's perfectly you" Loki sighed looking around the room. "Do watch yourselves ladies, the walls still look wet" he added.
"Did you two know about this?" you asked Wanda and Nat.
"We all did," Wanda nodded.
"It's hard to keep a secret from the wolves though. I thought for sure Anastasia was going to sell us out" Nat chuckled.
"I like it" Cloud sat down and looked around at the workers curiously.
"Bucky's going to love this" you cooed, turning in one spot to take everything in. It was light decorating so far, but you could really see things were coming together for your special day. "I can't wait to get married here," you sighed happily.
"Come along, these fumes are not good for the baby. We can go for another walk, or we can go for tea. It's up to you" Loki offered.
"Tea sounds lovely, Loki," you smiled at him.
"Good, we can use my suite. I just redecorated" Nat piped up quickly and started to lead the way back out again.
