Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Mama held your arm, and matched your pace as you slowly made your way down the aisle. Step, one, two, three. Step. Your veil swayed slightly with each step as you moved. You wanted to look at who all had come, but your eyes couldn't leave the steel blue's watching you so intently and full of love. You saw a few tears fall down his face, but you loved him even more for showing so much emotion in front of an audience. You were almost bursting on the inside. You could hear cameras clicking as you slowly made your way to your final destination. As you gazed into his eyes, you couldn't help but think everything was clear. This was your destiny. He was your forever.
Mama squeezed your arm reassuringly as you reached the end of the aisle and you stood in front of Bucky. You turned to her and she lifted your veil, putting it over the back of your hair and she kissed your cheek. She took your hand and handed it to Bucky and she winked at him before she turned and went to her seat.
"You look more beautiful than I imagined" Bucky whispered to you.
"As for you being so handsome" you whispered back. He guided you up the steps and you finally stood in front of the altar where Uncle Brad was wearing the helmet.
"Mama looks like a princess," Blue said, and his voice came through the speakers. You heard a few chuckles come from the room.
"Hush Blue" Melody chastised him. "They can hear us," she reminded him. Blue ignored her and came over to sit beside your feet. You heard Cloud huff before he took the tip of Blue's tail between his teeth and pulled softly. Blue took a few steps forward and stood between you and Bucky. Alpine padded past Blue and crawled up Bucky's leg until he got to his shoulder and he sat down and perched to watch everything curiously.
"I'll just..." Steve said from behind Bucky and he grabbed Alpine and put him on his shoulder instead.
"Dad..." Alpine whined.
"We talked about this" Uncle Brad said on the mic and Alpine stopped. "You too Blue" he said.
"No, I want to be with my mama and papa," Blue said stubbornly.
"He's okay" you said looking down at Blue who puffed out his chest a bit.
"We are gathered here to join two very special people. One being my favorite niece who never knows when to give up or give in. The other being the man that seems to hold the same qualities. I'd like to point out that it's not everyday that someone can find true love, but in this case, I'm confident they have found it. It seems like just yesterday my little songbird was in her little polka dotted dress and climbing trees, singing the songs her grandma taught her. I'll never forget the day I met Bucky. Songbird thought she could take on a small army of Hydra agents on her own, with a little help from the adult companions. I didn't let her, but she made sure I was safe in the house with my gun. She had them on the ropes, and this jet parks itself beside my house and out comes the entire Avengers team, and they just took over. When the battle was well and done, he came to her side and I knew then that he loved her with his whole heart. You could see it in his eyes. The way he held her like she was so precious and breakable, when she just took out over twenty men basically on her own. I knew I couldn't tear them apart if I wanted to, and he was the first person besides my songbird that came into my house after almost ten years of mourning. Now I would go on about the ups and downs of life, and how not everything happens as you plan it out. But I'm not going to waste your time. Before these two say their vows, is there anyone feels that they should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace" Uncle Brad spoke slowly and enunciated every word. He got a little misty eyed as he talked about the past. Both you and Bucky stared straight into each other's eyes, knowing full well no one would dare stand up.
"If anyone stands up I'm biting them" Melody said, and that got a few chuckles from the crowd.
"Good, I was going to bite them too" Uncle Brad chuckle. "And who gives away the bride?" he asked.
"I do" mama stood up.
"I do" Billy stood at her side.
"We do" Clint and Tony stood up as well giving you a smirk.
"We do" Snow and Jasper took a few steps forward.
"I do" Blue piped up.
"I do" Melody came closer and leaned against your gown.
"And finally, I do" Cloud came over and stood between the two of you and looked up at you. You held your bouquet with one hand and reached down to pat him on the head.
"And I give away my papa" Alpine perked up from Steve's shoulder.
"You are a part of the pack now, mate" Cloud turned to look at Bucky.
"The wedding isn't over yet, Cloud" Billy warned him. "They have to say their vows," he added. Cloud huffed slightly, but didn't move. Bucky reached down and scratched him behind the ears.
"I believe you both wrote your own vows" Uncle Brad felt prompted.
"We did" Bucky nodded. "I'll go first. Y/N Y/LN, you are my northern star, and every prayer I ever whispered to the night sky. When I first met you, you were the most infuriating woman I had ever met. You were stubborn, loyal, secretive, and the most impossibly beautiful woman I had ever met in my entire long life. You were perfect to me. Too perfect. I thought you were too good to be true, but boy, I was wrong. You are perfect in all the right ways. I love the way you sing when you are cooking. I love the way you are with your friends and family. The way you are with your companions. I love the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you fight. The way you always steal the blankets when we go to bed at night. I love how smart you are, how you put me to shame sometimes. I had this whole speech written down and I memorized it, but when I saw you coming down that aisle, I realized none of those words matter. You are all that matters to me. You are my love, my home, my life. I'd never have it any other way. Will you take me in sickness and in health. For richer or poorer, and until death do we part?" Bucky asked, his voice soft but you could hear a pin drop.
"Beyond death, I do" you felt your eyes fill up with tears. Steve handed Bucky a vibranium ring, and he slipped it on your finger. It fit perfectly. You noticed little roses were embroidered into the band and you couldn't help but smile.
"With this ring, I will love you with all my heart. Even beyond the grave" Bucky vowed.
"James, my sweet James. You are my home, my other third, the man I will love for all of eternity. When we first met, you were infuriating, but also very handsome. I will always be grateful to Blue for bringing us and our love together. I love everything about you, from the way you steal all the pillows, to the way you protect me and my companions. When I think of love, I think of you. When I think of forever, I can only imagine spending it with you" you smiled at him and you saw him get teary eyed. Wanda handed you Bucky's vibranium ring engraved with a wolf, and he held out his hand to you. "Will you take me in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do we part?" you asked him.
"Beyond death, I do" he smiled and you slipped the ring on his finger.
"I now pronounce you both mates as well as husband and wife. You may kiss your bride Bucky" Uncle Brad announced and Bucky didn't miss a beat. He quickly closed the distance between the two of you, putting his hand in the small of your back and he tipped you back slightly as his lips pressed against your own. You parted your lips slightly and he took full advantage and gave you a sweet kiss that didn't last too long. The room erupted in clapping and howls, and a few tiny meows. Bucky put you back on your feet and you grinned as he held your hand.
"I now introduce to you Mr and Mrs Barnes" Uncle Brad announced happily.
"Alright pack, lets go" Cloud decided to lead them down the aisle.
"Cloud I want mommy to carry me" Blue whined.
"After the ceremony" Cloud told him kindly. Cloud led the way down the aisle, with Alpine on one side of him, and Blue on the other. Melody was close behind, with Jasper and Snow walking together behind her. You and Bucky walked slowly down the aisle as people threw little white and blue confetti as you walked by. You nearly got to the end of the aisle when you noticed Fury was standing by the door. He nodded at you, and stepped back out the door. You knew he just wanted you to know that he did indeed show up. Wanda and Steve walked down the aisle behind you and once you got to the door you stopped and handed Bucky your bouquet of roses and he shook his head with a grin as you bent forward and picked up both Blue and Alpine at the same time. Alpine jumped from your embrace to Bucky's shoulder and stood up proudly.
"You look like a princess mama" Blue cooed to you, and you heard it through the speakers since Uncle Brad was still hooked up.
"She looks like an Angel," Bucky smiled broadly.
"Oh you" you blushed.
"I love how easily you do that too" Bucky couldn't stop grinning. "Mrs. Barnes" he winked.
"You are officially stuck with me now" you giggled.
"I better be" he chuckled, and leaned in for another kiss, being mindful of both Blue and Alpine.
"Don't ruin her makeup just yet" Wanda came over. "We have pictures to take," she reminded you both.
"Alright, let's do this" you pulled away from the kiss. You had to set Blue down again and he whined a little about it.
The photographer was suddenly there and they opened the door wanting you both to go outside. All of the companions followed along with everyone that came for the wedding (except of course Fury). They led you towards the woods and started getting you to go into various poses together and with different family members. You and Bucky hated being apart for even a moment, you just wanted to hold one another. When that was finally done everyone headed back inside and you sighed happily as you could finally get off of your feet. You could feel your ankles were a little swollen, and you were getting admittedly hungry.
"Mrs Barnes, will you do me the honor of joining me for a meal?" Bucky asked with a little bit of swagger.
"Oh Mr. Barnes, of course" you giggled and he picked you up like a princess and brought you to the head table making you burst out laughing.
Forever just wasn't going to be long enough.
