Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Mood swings

After lunch Steve went out and got everything as promised, and you brought a book with you to the main living room to read just in case the others were doing something in there as well. Mama and Uncle Brad came to spend time with you and Bucky and your pack for a little bit as the rest of the security was being installed on your new home, but you were still exhausted from using your abilities to the degree that you had and now slightly regretted doing so but, Your flames were satisfied for now, and for that you were grateful that you now had a moments peace. Everyone was very happy with the decision that you were staying in the main compound for the time being, and mama seemed to zero in on Cloud and went to give him a kiss on the forehead as soon as she saw him.

The rest of the team seemed on edge for the afternoon, taking turns to do periodic checks of the woods and surrounding area around the compound just as a precaution. Hydra didn't show up, thankfully. It seemed they had learned enough lessons for the day and would give you and the team a break.
It wasn't until that evening that you realized how much you missed this. Being at the compound with your extended family and helping each other out when someone needed it. Blue seemed to be reveling in all the attention that he was getting, and being around all of the other pups again. It was hard to keep them all away from Melody and her litter, but a few sharp barks from Cloud kept them in line at least until another pup got the guts to try and approach the new scents again. That is until Bucky and Steve felt bad for the poor litter and their mama and carried them back to the suite and settled them in for the night. Mama went to bed early, the same as Uncle Brad and Soren as it had been an equally exhausting day for them as well, maybe not in terms of action but definitely in levels of stress. You invited the team to come back to your place, but most people said they would come another time.

You had ended up in your living room again at the end of the night with Clint, Bucky, Steve, Sam, your pack and the Shadow wolf pack. Alpine was up on Bucky's shoulder, while you were nestled between his legs and cuddled into him relishing in his body heat and scent. Music was playing softly in the room while Steve was sketching as usual. Melody and Cloud were in their own nursery with all the blankets and dog beds, while Seraphina, Zephyr and Blue were playing on the floor under the watchful eyes of both Snow and Jasper who constantly gave a soft bark when they tried to wander down the hall towards the nursery. The shadow wolf pack were all lying further away, keeping to themselves in the small space.
"What's on your mind, Songbird?" Clint asked as you gazed down at the pups playing.
"Soon my own little baby is going to be here playing with them" you gave a soft smile. Bucky ran his hand over your baby bump and chuckled in response.
"Maybe a little too soon," Bucky chuckled. "She's growing so fast, and your bump is too," he remarked with pride in his tone.
"Hey" you turned and gave him a light slap and a wounded look.
"No! Wait, I like it!" he said, realizing his mistake. "I love your curves," he added quickly. "I can't wait to make love to these curves later" he added while wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"Slow down, we don't need to know about your life in the bedroom," Clint laughed, shaking his head.
"Yeah, I don't need that visual," Sam quickly agreed with a disgusted expression on his face.
"You aren't touching anything tonight. Growing, indeed" you squirmed to move away but his hold was like cement on your skin. Unyielding and unbreakable.
"You're not going anywhere" Bucky said as he leaned down and placed kisses on the side of your neck. He got to the apex of where your neck met your shoulder and he gave a soft nip that reminded you of his mark that he always left on you when you made love with each other. "Welp, I'm calling it a night at that." Sam quickly stood up and left the room without hearing a response from anyone else. The shadow wolf pack quickly followed after him once they saw him leaving the room.
"Don't look at me, I'm fine with it" Clint shrugged. "You're making me miss Laura and the kids more though. I wish they could be here right now but with everything it's not safe." he added with a soft smile before looking up and seeing Bucky pull you closer to him.
"Bucky, you sir are in the dog house tonight," you said, wiggling from side to side in his iron grip.
"I'm going to get out of it, we both know I will" he swore, his voice deepening with his arousal. "Don't be so sure about that mister. I have a pregnancy pillow with my name all over it so don't think about taking its place tonight cause the only place you'll be at is on the couch." You huffed and made your way across the room to your bedroom leaving the three men in shock before chuckling to themselves. Snow seemed to understand your mood swing and quickly followed, leaving Jasper to manage the pups on his own.
"Was Laura ever like that?" Steve said with slight concern etched on his face not quite understanding the sudden change in moods.
"Oh, no she was worse. I think she's the tamest pregnant lady I've ever seen. Buck, you got lucky with this one, let's just hope the baby sleeps more than she cries," Clint gave a look of sympathy and understanding.
"So you're telling me that it could be worse..." Steve was now terrified of the future and if he ever became a father himself.
"I bet I could do something that she'd like to change her mind," Bucky said, his voice still deep as he watched for any movement from the bedroom doorway, hoping that you were listening to his every word.
"Trust me Bucky, that isn't a bear you want to poke tonight. Just slip in when she's asleep and all will be forgiven by the time she wakes up." Clint tried to remind Bucky of today's events and how they might have affected you.
"Yeah, I'm just a little wound up at the moment. I mean look at her, she's glowing. How could I not want to explore every inch of her every little mark that shows a sign of our baby growing in her. She just amazes me everyday with her courage and beauty," Bucky finally seemed to snap out of his previous state.
