Healed

You woke up to muffled yelling, and you heard Cloud whining before you opened your eyes slowly. You were still a bit sore, but looked to the side and saw your shoulder was just one massive bruise now. You went to move your hand, but you felt a tug, and looked down to see an IV sticking out of the back of it. You frowned slightly, trying to piece together everything that had happened. It was a massive blur, and your brain was feeling foggy at the moment.
"You're okay, pup" Cloud spoke from beside you, and you looked over at him in a drugged haze. He jumped up on the side of the regeneration machine and licked the glass lid while looking at you.
"Are you okay?" you demanded softly, trying to move but the glass lid was holding you down in one place. You were glad that it was warm in there, since you were completely naked from the waist up.
"They called in a vet, and now have them assigned to base until we are no longer living here. Fury was down earlier. They put me in the machine next to you to heal. I only feel your pain now" he whined a bit.
"What happened?" you asked, still feeling confused.
"The Hydra agent tricked us, and tried to kill us and make his escape. You used your fire powers, while Tony used his suit, and Bruce became a very calm version of the Hulk. We fought him, and he's back in his cage, however he is still wounded" Cloud told you calmly. "We need to put him to sleep to tend to his wounds, but we will need to try the new gas that you formulated"
"You are not stopping me from seeing her!" Bucky's voice broke through and the door swung open violently. You jumped slightly in surprise and he rushed to your side. "Y/N" he stood beside the regeneration machine looking at you worriedly.
"You need to let her rest!" Doctor Cho came in looking a little frazzled at seeing how angry Bucky was.
"She was supposed to be safe" he bit out.
"I would choose your battles, Doc," Tony called from the door.
"Bucky?" you asked in surprise.
"Tony called me, I had ta see ya" Bucky leaned down and kissed the glass that separated the two of you. "They said the baby is alright, but you were hurt badly" his eyes went to your wounded shoulder and he growled slightly at the sight. That was his spot, and his alone to mark you. He felt completely angered at the thought that someone tried to take you from him, in the same area that you both used when you were intimate with one another.
"I'm okay, Bucky. It's okay. Sit down with us" you heard a bark and saw Melody jump up and put her paws on the lid. "Melody!" you cried in surprise.
"You and my mate were supposed to be safe" she gave some sass. "What happened?" she demanded and swung her head to look at Cloud.
"The Hydra agent tried to escape, and attacked all of us" you answered for Cloud who seemed to remain silent. He whimpered and went to Bucky for comfort as he sat down in the chair next to you, after draping a blanket across the top of the lid, just far enough down that he could see your face.
"I heard about that, I just gave Tony shit" Bucky continued to watch you worriedly. "You were supposed to be safe, doll" he shook his head.
"I burnt him badly" you admitted softly. "He's going to need medical attention, I can still smell the burning fur and flesh" you wrinkled your nose.
"Good, I hope it hurts" Melody said what Bucky was thinking. "Were you hurt?" She looked at Cloud again.
"A little bit, they fixed me right up good as new, and washed the blood off of me. I ripped into the Hydra agent's arm" he held his head up proudly.
"Bucky, we need you to sign some form's, Tony says you two are on the same insurance" Doctor Cho came back into the room.
"We are?" you asked, a little bit surprised at the news.
"I had you switched over a few weeks ago, you just signed the paper without asking me questions" he gave a mischievous grin while taking the clipboard and quickly signing the documents. He scanned through the documents, seeming to be taking everything in and pursed his lips slightly. "You had to do two ultrasounds?" he asked, looking at Doctor Cho curiously.
"We wanted to make sure," she nodded in confirmation.
"Baby is safe?" he asked, his eyebrows knitted together worriedly.
"From what we can see, yes," she nodded, taking a few steps forward and pulling back the blanket to peek at the wound that was still a very large bruise, and a few tell-tale fang marks marring your skin. "She's going to be a while" she sighed and looked at Bucky expectantly.
"I'm not leaving" Bucky shook his head. "Not on your life, doc"
"She needs to rest" she took out a needle and put it in the IV line. You quickly started to feel drowsy, and blinked your eyes slightly, keeping your line of sight on Bucky.
"I'll still be here when you wake up" Bucky promised you in a whisper, leaning forward in his chair, still petting Cloud who whimpered again. Melody nuzzled herself into the front of his neck, feeling relieved that her mate was safe.
