"To going home soon" Bruce lifted his glass at the supper table, looking over the moon and Nat tapped her glass to his.
"Finally" she sighed happily.
"I'd never thought I would say this, but it's about time. We need the three of you back home. We all miss you" Scott admitted softly.
"You just miss Y/N and her cooking" Wanda giggled and Scott shrugged, looking away.
"We all miss that, and now that she's grounded, I think we can look forward to a little more of that" Sam said with glee. You glowered at your food slightly, not liking that you couldn't be with the team on missions.
"What's that look for?" Bucky didn't miss it, and looked at you curiously. He had a feeling he knew you wanted to be out on missions still. This was going to be a learning curve for both of you.
"It's just, they are still taking wolves, and I can speak to them..." you started when Tony and Steve were both already shaking their heads.
"It's too much of a risk" Steve looked at you kindly.
"You are needed in the lab" Tony spoke with finality. You knew it was mainly because you were eight weeks pregnant, but you wanted to argue that you weren't made of glass. That you could still work, regardless, but you also knew the team's mind was made up. You especially knew Bucky's mind was made up already. He wouldn't let you even near a quinjet if he had it his way. You also knew this last month had been hard on Bucky, the overnight phone calls were not doing it for either of you. Being in his arms the last few days, had been Heavenly.
"It's just, I can talk to them, that's all" you weren't giving up without a little bit of a fight.
"We know, but it's too dangerous," Clint spoke up, shaking his head.
"How many syringes did you manage to fill?" Bruce changed the subject, knowing you were getting a little upset.
"One hundred and twenty seven. I started on the next batch of serum, and made it a double batch. I made sure to add the wolfsbane to it as well" you updated him quickly.. You felt Blue pawing at your leg, and you quickly reached down and helped him up onto your lap.
"Mama, I'm still hungry" Blue announced, licking his muzzle and eyeing your plate.
"Me too" Zora came over, speaking a little more timidly.
"It looks like we need to start feeding them more" you commented absentmindedly. "I'll be right back little ones" you stood up, and set Blue down on your chair. He gave a bark and followed you back to the cafeteria line up. You got four more bowls of ground beef, and had a hard time heading back since Blue kept going between your feet and yipping excitedly. You went to where they had previously been eating and all four pups sat down, waiting patiently. You put the bowls inside of their previous empty ones and they all started eating quickly.
"Why didn't you say something doll, I could have done that" Bucky looked at you a little worriedly. "Now your food is going to be cold," he added.
"It's no trouble. The pups were still hungry. We need to start feeding them more" you gave a soft smile.
"Good to know" Nat looked down at her little Anastasia proudly.
"Are we all taking them outside after?" Scott asked a little excitedly, you knew he wanted more pictures to send to his daughter.
"Of course" you nodded, and went to sit beside Bucky again. You started eating again, and it was not long before Blue was pawing at your leg again. You looked over and saw he had indeed finished his whole second bowl. You quickly picked him up and he settled on your lap again, this time laying down across your lap. You brought your left arm down to hold him close to your body and keep him still while you ate with just your right hand. Blue seemed to be calmed by this, and you were able to eat in peace.
"Did you want dessert?" Bucky asked quickly, as soon as you finished your plate full.
"What's on the menu?" you quirked an eyebrow at him and he gave a flirty smile and chuckled. You knew he was thinking dirty thoughts, but was holding back.
"Cheesecake" he finally answered while gazing into your eyes, his eyes held you prisoner for a moment too long before you felt Blue stir on your lap and ruined the spell.
"That sounds divine" you breathed and he got up quickly. He wasn't gone long before he came back with a huge grin on his face and he set the cheesecake slice in front of you, that had a cherry sauce over the top of it. You looked at it for a moment while he sat down and he took a bite from his own on his plate.
"It's not yours, but it's okay" he huffed slightly, causing you to giggle before you took a bite. It was good cheesecake, but you preferred your family recipes.
"So what movie are we watching tonight in the common room?" Sam asked while you and Bucky worked on your dessert. A few people chimed in their own ideas but Bucky got exceptionally quiet and looked down at his food.
"What do you say Buck?" Steve asked, causing him to look up.
"I thought we would sit tonight out, I had some plans for Y/N and I" Bucky licked his lips before answering.
"That's alright, we can decide for ourselves" Tony shrugged, not seeming too bothered by the notion.
"What do you have planned, my love?" you whispered to Bucky and his face broke out into a grin.
"I can't say it in polite company" he chuckled.
"We can't with the pack" your face went bright red.
"I know," he pouted slightly. "You'll see, sugar," he promised.
