GIRLFRIENDS: THROUGH THICK AND THIN

Chapter:16

(Backstory: Toni is in New York making a life for herself and her daughter. She's been in a good relationship for a year now, and it has had it's moments. Joan and Aaron has just found out that they are having twins girls, and they couldn't be more excited. Toni has announced that she is coming to La for Christmas, and it cause a friction between Maya and Joan.)

(Joan was sitting on her bed when the bathroom door opens, and she jumps because she didn't know he was home. Aaron comes in wrapped in a towel, and looks up seeing his wife and the sad look on her face. He walks over and sit next to her as he wait for her to say something.)

Joan: I really don't want to talk about it.

Aaron: Ok, who ass I need to kick.

Joan: (chuckle) Sweet but I will be fine.

Aaron: Bae, your not fine I can see the hurt in your eyes.

(She just sigh and puts her head on his shoulder as he rubs her arm, and place his hand over hers on her belly.)

Joan: What are you doing home?

Aaron: Baby it's after 3.

Joan: It is.

Aaron: (laugh) Yes, your mind has been all over the place.

Joan: It's their fault, I can't seem to remember things and my hormones are all over the place.

Aaron: Anything I can do?

Joan: (looks at him) Baby your naked please don't temp me.

Aaron: No, no sex just something like a massage or maybe I could just hold you and we could talk.

Joan: I could use a nap, but I'm hungry.

Aaron: How about a do us a fruit bowl and something lite.

Joan: (kiss him) Ok, I could eat one of your famous omelets.

Aaron: Ok, you get comfortable and I'll bring it up.

Joan: I'll find a movie.

Aaron: Great!

(He kiss her head before he gets up and go downstairs to make what his wife requested. Once he was done they both ate they omelets and fruit as they watched a movie. They wasn't into the movie 10 minutes before he looks over and see Joan sleep. He shakes his head and take they plates downstairs. He was about to go to the living room when he heard a knock on the back door and saw William.)

Aaron: Hey man come in.

William: Hey your busy?

Aaron: No, just about to watch the game.

William: Where's Joan?

Aaron: She's upstairs sleeping, the twins is wearing her out.

William: I bet.

(Aaron looks at him and see he seemed nervous and being weird.)

Aaron: What's going on man?

William: Huh oh nothing just got bored and we haven't hung out in a minute.

Aaron: Well I'm not doing much. I had a long day at work.

William: I lose another case and I'm starting to question my job.

Aaron: Hey man we all have been there, it doesn't last forever.

William: I've been thinking of opening my own practice.

Aaron: Have you talked to your wife about this?
