Joslyn's POV

"I'm so tired," I complained on the way home.

Janis was kind enough to drive me when Dad said he would stay at Uncle Zack's longer.

"Why? According to Dad, all you do is sleep," Janis said, looking in the mirror at Cooper, who was curled up in her back seat.

I sighed.

"What is happening between you and Wesley?" I asked, changing the subject.

Janis shrugged.

"Don't give me that bullshit. Wesley said you kissed him," I said.

Janis' jaw clenched, and her lips drew a thin line.

"Are you sleeping with him?" I asked.

"No," Janis replied.

"Why not?" I asked. "Janis, he is hot! He's into you, and he's hot!"

"There's more to a person than looks, Joslyn," Janis said. "I don't appreciate you talking about me with him."

"He asked, and I answered. I was doing you a favor," I said, getting annoyed.

"I don't need any favors," Janis snapped.

"Pfft! Whatever Janis! You need all the help you can get!"

"Would you like to get out and walk home?" Janis asked.

I looked around. We still had a five-minute drive which was equal to miles.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I demanded.

"Then mind your own business," Janis snapped.

"Whatever," I mumbled.

Janis dropped me off without another word, and I went inside.

I dropped my bag by the door and went into the kitchen.

Pulling open the fridge, I pulled out some roast beef and cheese.

I grabbed the bread and made a sandwich.

I scrolled through my phone as I ate my sandwich.

Yawning, I got up and put my plate in the sink as I heard the front door open.

Dad and Rocky came in laughing.

"Jos, I thought you'd be asleep," Dad said.

"I was hungry, so..."

"I'm starving! What do you have?" Rocky asked.

Dad rattled off a bunch of stuff.

"Decisions, decisions, decisions. I'll have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Riker, would you do the honor?" Rocky asked.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Riker grabbed peanut butter, jelly, and bread.

"Jos? Wanna sandwich?" He asked.

"I..."

Peanut butter and jelly sounded delicious, and Dad made the best PBJ ever.

"Sure."

Dad started making the sandwiches.

I went to the fridge and grabbed water and a bowl of watermelon.

"Can you grab me a beer too?" Riker asked.

"I have water, but yes, I can. Rocky?" I asked.

"Sure," he replied.

I grabbed everything and went back over to the guys.
