Jamey's POV

"Jamey! Your phone has not stopped vibrating for an hour!" Stephanie complained, rolling over.

"Huh?" I mumbled sleepily.

"Your phone! Someone is trying to get a hold of you," she repeated.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"I don't know, answer your phone."

I rolled away from her, instantly feeling cold, and grabbed my phone. Blinking a few times to clear my vision, I looked at it.

"It's ten o'clock," I said.

Stephanie sighed.

I looked at my notifications. I had three missed calls. Two are from Dad, and one is from Uncle Zack. I scrolled down, and my phone started to vibrate.

"Jesus!" I exclaimed as Dad popped up on the screen.

"Hello?"

"Jamey," Dad said.

There was something in his voice that made my body grow cold. I sat up.

"Yeah?"

"It's your sister," Dad said. "She's dead!"

"Wh... What?"

Dad sighed.

"Joslyn killed herself last night," Dad said quietly.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed. "Oh my god! What should I do? I'll come over!"

"Okay, the cornered is coming to get her. I can't get a hold of Janis," Dad said.

"I'll swing by and get her. Is she at Wesley's?"

"Yeah, she's not at the pool house," Dad said.

"Dad, why?" I asked.

"I don't know, son," Dad said. "I don't know."

"Did she leave a note?"

"Yeah, but it doesn't say much," Dad said.

"Okay, we'll be right over," I said.

I hung up. Stephanie sat in bed next to me, concern all over her face.

"Josyln killed herself," I mumbled.

"Oh, Jamey!" She exclaimed and gathered me in her arms.

I let Stephanie hold me. I couldn't believe it. I was numb and in shock. It couldn't be true.

"We have to pick up Janis on our way to Dad's house," I said, slowly getting up and grabbing the jeans off the floor. I pulled them on. Looking around, I went to my dresser and pulled out a black tee shirt. I pulled it over my head.

I turned and looked at Stephanie sitting on the bed. Her long black hair was pulled up in a bun on her head. Her knees were pulled to her chest, and her arms wrapped around her legs.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Are you okay?"

I shook my head. "I don't know."

Stephanie got up out of bed and came to me. She wrapped her arms around me. "I know you're in shock. Please don't shut me out?"

"I won't," I said, rubbing her arm.

Stephanie kissed me. "I'll go get dressed. How many times did Riker call you?"

I picked up my phone. "I only have three missed calls."

"But it was going off for an hour," Stephanie exclaimed from the bathroom.

I opened my phone and looked at it.
