Janis' POV

Janis!" Dad yelled.

I looked over at the edge of the pool.

"What?"

"Can you come here, please?" he asked, walking away from the pool.

I swam to the side of the in-ground pool and pulled myself up.

I could feel Wesley's eyes on my back. I tried not to roll my eyes.

His hands did feel nice on my skin. I tried not to think of that either.

"Yeah, Dad," I said.

"Um... Grandpa just called me, and Grandma fell..."

"Oh no!" I exclaimed.

"He thinks she broke her hip. I want to fly to Arizona tonight, but Molly is here until Monday. Do you think you could stay and watch her?" Riker asked.

"Of course," I said.

Riker nodded.

"I'm going to pack a bag."

I watched Riker go into the house.

"What's going on?" Uncle Zack asked, coming over to me.

He grabbed a towel from the stack on the table and wiped water off his face.

"My grandma fell, and Riker is going to Arizona," I said.

"Mom fell?"

"Is she okay?"

"Ohmigod!"

Ross, Rocky, and Rydel exclaimed together.

"Riker!" Ross yelled. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist before marching into the house.

Rocky and Rydel followed behind him.

"That's not going to go over well," Uncle Zack said.

"No, probably not," I said.

I watched Wesley lift Molly out of the pool. He scooped her up in his arms and came to the table.

"This little one is frozen!"

Uncle Zack threw a towel over Molly while Wesley held her.

"You're good with her, Wes," Uncle Zack said.

"Thanks," Wesley replied.

He gently rubbed Molly's back.

"Change of plans," Riker said, coming out of the house. "We are all going to Arizona."

Rydel, Ross, and Rocky were dressed and standing behind Riker.

"I'm going too," Uncle Ryland chimed in.

"I'll drive," Uncle Tristan added.

"Party's over," Aunt Sabrina announced.

Everyone shuffled around, barking off demands and bickering with everyone else.

I laughed.

This was precisely what Grandma and Grandpa needed.

"Wes, you can drive my car home," Ross said.

"Wesley is going to watch a movie with us," Molly said.

"He's got to go home sometime," Ross argued.

"Or he can spend the night too," Molly said.

"No," Riker said firmly.

Molly looked at him. Riker softened.

"He can watch the movie, but Wesley should go home tonight."
