Joslyn's POV

I watched Molly roll from her back to her tummy three times across the living room. She stopped and pushed herself up on her elbows.

"Babababababa!" Molly babbled.

I smiled at my daughter.

"Good girl!"

I handed her a toy, and she reached for it, wobbling a little bit, and then took it from my hand.

"Good girl," I exclaimed.

Molly smiled at my approval, and the whole room lit up.

She was five months old and moving all over the place. She wasn't crawling or walking yet, but she was smart and knew how to get where she wanted.

She was simply the prettiest thing I have ever seen. She blew me away with how smart she was.

She was starting to make sounds that sounded like words.

She could sit up for a while if supported, and she loved to be down on the floor and roll.

I sighed as I watched her.

It hasn't been an easy five months, but I loved being a mother. I had a lot of help from Dad, Mary, Aunt Sabrina, Uncle Zack, and even Janis.

We have gotten into a routine, and it went great when we stuck to it.

Molly was sleeping through most of the night.

Her day started at six or seven in the morning.

Most of the time, Dad would get her in the morning and let me sleep.

Dad would feed her breakfast, play with her and give her a bottle around nine or ten, and then Molly would sleep until eleven or twelve, and I'd get her when she woke up from her nap.

She'd lay down again around two or three and sleep until four or five.

She would have a snack, play, eat dinner, bathe, go to bed around seven, and sleep until the following day when we started all over again.

She was a great baby! I knew I was lucky to have her.

When Molly was sleeping, I putzed around the house or slept depending on what I did the night before.

I didn't do much usually.

I've been excellent at being a mother and caring for my child.

But that didn't mean I didn't think about going out all the time.

Christopher constantly bothered me about going out again.

He said we could make some serious cash in a night.

I was interested, but I knew that it meant I'd have to have sex with strange men.

I like having sex, but it left me with dread after that night.

I have no recollection of the days I was out.

I only have dim recollections of what may have happened and no way of knowing.

So I kept putting Christopher off.

I was able to attend Jam Night weekly and drink a lot.

Molly was always sleeping when I got home, so I continued the party until I fell asleep.

It would be nice to dress up, go out for a night, and not worry about anything.

But I did have to worry about something, my child.
