Jamey's POV
I spent the whole day over at Ross'.
My head hurt, and I was tired. I wanted to go home and sleep.
My phone buzzed. I picked it up.
"Hey Christopher," I said.
"Hey man, wanna go out and party tonight?"
"Nope, I'm spent and on my way home to sleep," I said.
"Come on, man," Christopher begged.
"Not tonight, man," I said.
"Are you still mad that I dropped Joslyn off at your place?" Christopher asked out of the blue.
"No," I lied.
I was a little mad.
Christopher never called after I took Joslyn home to see if everything worked out okay. I was starting to think that Stephanie was right. Christopher was out for himself.
"Fine, but next time we are going out!"
"Next time, I'll be game," I said.
I hung up and drove home.
I let myself in.
The lights were on, music played softly, and something smelled delicious.
"Hello?" I called.
Stephanie popped her head around the corner of the kitchen.
"Hi," she smiled.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, excited to see her.
"I decided to make you dinner," Stephanie said. "How was your day?"
"Long, how was your day?"
"Boring," she laughed.
"What are we having?" I asked, walking into the kitchen and touching Stephanie's hips.
She looked beautiful in jeans and a gray crop top. Her jet-black hair was pulled back into a ponytail.
I nuzzled her neck.
Stephanie squirmed against me, giggling.
"Stop, you are going to make me mess dinner up," she said.
"I am so happy you are here!" I said, kissing her neck.
Stephanie turned in my arms and kissed my lips.
"What do you say we go out tonight?" She asked.
Stephanie turned eighteen a month ago.
We couldn't wait to go out and celebrate, yet after her birthday, we still hung out at my place most nights.
"What did you have in mind?" I asked.
"A movie?" She asked.
"I'll take you to a movie," I agreed.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," I said.
"That makes me so happy!" She exclaimed.
"You make me so happy," I said, pulling her against me.
My hands explored her body as I pulled her down towards the floor.
"Jamey," Stephanie exclaimed.
"What?" I asked innocently.
"Dinners going to burn," she said.
I reached up and turned the knob on the stove off before I went back to ravishing her body.
***
We went to the movies later.
