Janis POV

I giggled as Sean licked my neck.

We were in bed. We'd spent the whole morning here. We had the day off, and what better way to spend time together than in bed naked.

Sean smiled at me. His green eyes filled with desire.

"I'm going to eat you up," he threatened.

I giggled as he kissed my neck.

Sean Donovan was the history teacher at the school I worked at.

I met him the first day I started. He was kind, funny and caring.

He was also hot!

Sean was Irish through and through. He was true to his heritage down to the lovely Irish accent.

I could listen to him talk for hours.

I have, actually. Sean's voice memorized me.

We'd been dating for a year.

Sean didn't try to understand me, but he was a great friend, and I liked hanging out with him.

My phone rang.

"Don't think that'll save you," he whispered as I reached for my phone.

"Hello?" I said.

Sean's hand fell to my breast.

"Hi, Dad," I said into the phone.

Sean's hand flew from my breast.

I laughed.

"What are you doing? Never mind, I don't want to know," Riker said. "Are you playing hooky?"

"We have the day off," I said.

"One of those made-up holidays?" Riker asked.

"It's not made up," I said. "The state has to give..."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Riker mumbled. "Um... I have news."

"Good or bad?" I asked, sitting up alarmed.

"Depends on how you look at it," Riker said.

"Well, don't leave me in suspense," I said.

"Wesley stopped by this morning," he said.

I shut my eyes.

Wesley.

"He was looking for you," Riker said.

I didn't say anything.

"He asked about Jam Night. I told him he needed to talk to Ross," Riker added. "Janis?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be? Wesley and I..." Sean looked at me. "Ended things a long time ago. I've moved on. I hope he has, too."

"So you'll be okay if he shows up at Jam Night?"

"Yes," I lied. "It'll be good to see him... seriously, Riker, I'm fine. Thanks for letting me know."

"Okay... for the recorder, I told him about Sean and how great he is," Riker said.

I'm sure that went over wonderful.

"Don't worry about it. I have to go," I said.

"Yeah, enjoy your day off," Riker said.

I clicked my phone off and sat there staring off into space.

Wesley was back. It only took three years.

"Are you okay?" Sean asked.

I blinked, remembering where I was and who I was with.
