I'm currently working now while Ryujin is sitting at one of the tables. I keep tabs on her and I either catch her watching me or she's playing solitaire with her cards. I can't help but find her cute. She could be at home and comfortably play instead she's here because she wants to see me.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun took care of Mingyu earlier. I don't really know what happened after Ryujin took me in the kitchen. I was honestly surprised by Ryujin's actions earlier. She really acted like my girlfriend at the time and making sure I'm okay before anything else.
"Hey, take a break. I think Ryujin could use some company" Beomgyu taps my shoulder to get my attention.
"Are you sure?" I face him.
"Yes" he smiles.
I hesitantly leave my spot and walk to Ryujin. I turn back again to make sure that Beomgyu is okay with me being with Ryujin but he's already taking care of the next guest coming in.
I sit across from Ryujin and she doesn't realize I'm here since she's focused on her game. How can solitaire be this serious for someone? She's deep in thought while planning her next step.
I don't bother getting her attention because I don't want to disturb her. Solitaire is one of the games I remember she likes so this is probably serious for her.
It only took a few minutes for her to finish her game then she finally sees me.
"Yeji" her smile is so big while she does her little wave.
"How long have you been there?" She ask while picking up her cards.
"Not that long. Beomgyu gave me a break so I can be with you" I share.
"He's a nice boss. Maybe Chaeryeong will like him" she suddenly suggest.
"Are you planning to become a matchmaker?" I chuckle.
"Maybe I shouldn't do that because if they don't work out then it's my fault and I don't want be stuck in the middle" she seriously say.
"Are you hungry? Should we order something?" I ask.
She shakes her head, "I'm not hungry but if you are then I'll join you so you don't eat alone."
She gets a text and she opens it. She frowns, "Darn flabbit."
She crosses her arms like a little kid. I shouldn't smile but I can't help it when she's this cute.
"What's wrong?" I still ask in seriousness.
"I forgot the other reason why I was here. Chaeryeong just reminded me through text" she sighs.
"Why are you here? You don't need to be upset. At least you were reminded so you can still do whatever your plan is" I try to calm her down.
"I came here to see you and to officially ask you to go on our first real date. I know you said that any time we hang out can be a date but I was talking to Felix and his lover and they said it's important to have special dates. I asked them what makes a date special and they said something about the effort put into it or whatever, I was only half listening" she pauses and I lightly laugh.
"So will you go out on a date with me? Like an actual date where it's not my apartment or yours?" She cutely ask.
"Do I stand up? Do I kneel in front of you? Should I be holding your hand? I've never asked anyone out on a date before" she rambles.
"Yes, I'd love to go out on a date with you but I just want you to know that we don't have to do anything special if you're not comfortable with it" I say to her with soft eyes.
