After a break up Halley was expecting sadness and heartache, but surprisingly the only thing she felt was anger. Sure, it hurt her, it hurt like hell, but the anger topped it all. After leaving Hawk at the mall and calming down she drove home and immediately went to her backyard. The punching bag hanging on the tree there was just calling her name. Her hands tightened into fists and all of her anger started to come out in the bag.
She lost track of time, she knew it had been a while but that didn't stop her. The sound of someone walking in didn't face her as she kept delivering punches and kicks to the bag.
"Are you okay?" She recognized Demetri's voice. Halley didn't responded, his only answer was a punch delivered with a little too much force "Right, I'll take that as a no" Demetri just stood there looking at her and Halley got tired of that knowing he was waiting for her to talk
"I broke up with him, Demetri" she stopped for a second to look tiredly at her friend whose eyes widened like twice their size
"What!" his voice was like five pitches higher
"Why do you look so surprised? He was being a dick, even I saw this coming" she sat down on the grass the exhaustion finally getting to her
"I mean, yeah, but I wasn't expecting you to actually do it" he sat in front of her explaining with his hands
"Woah, thanks for the faith, Dem" Halley rolled her eyes looking down
"Well, no offense, but I hadn't seen two people so emotionally attached to each other like you and Eli, so sorry if I didn't thought any of you to be capable to break up with each other"
"To be honest, I had been thinking about it since the festival, I just wasn't brave enough to actually do it. But when he started messing with you it kinda drove me over the edge" she started to pull on the grass, her eyes filled with tears she knew she wasn't gonna shed, at least not at that moment "Do you think he'll ever realize what he's actually doing and regret it?" she whispered
"I like to think he will. I think there's still something of the old Eli in there and maybe at some point he'll snap out of it"
"I hope if that happens it's not too late"

One day. One normal and calm day was all Halley was looking forward to having, she woke up in a mildly okay mood and with the purpose of using Karate as a distraction but when she arrived at the dojo with Sam and Robby, she almost fell to her knees.
The dojo was completely destroyed, everything was thrown around, it was all a mess. That dojo was her safe space for many years and it had become that again in the last few months, seeing the place like that broke her heart and what finished it for her was the look in her uncle's face when he saw the place.
The dojo was one of the last things he had of Mr. Miyagi's legacy, the man had been a father to him and seeing his temple destroyed also destroyed his heart.
But what really made her blood boil was when she turned to the cars and in one of the whe say the words
'COBRA KAI NEVER DIES'
Written on one of the sides with red spray paint, she swore she saw red, how dare they do something like that. If it was revenge for them kicking their asses at the mall then they shouldn't have attacked Demetri in the first place. Now the one that wanted revenge was her. Halley LaRusso was so done with Cobra Kai and his stupid bullies that she just wanted to knock them all out herself

Halley was sure that Hawk was involved in the trashed of Miyagi-do. The doings were such a petty thing she had a hard time believing a grown ass man had been behind it so she was almost certain some of the students in Cobra Kai were responsibles. She had told her suspicions to Sam that completely agree and Halley just kept walking back and forth while doing it
"He's an asshole" Sam had stopped liking Hawk after seeing his behavior, and after the tournament she just wanted him as far away from her cousin as possible, so now she was glad she could cuss him out as him and her cousin weren't together
"The biggest asshole" Halley said falling besides her cousin on her bed "Please tell me why I always end up with guys that seemed to be good just for them to turn out to be complete dicks"
"You've just had bad luck" Sam shrugged
"Well, it's not like yours is any better" Halley snorted unamusingly "Maybe we should just stop dating guys and be forever alone together, we can have fifteen cats and three dogs, maybe a couple of fish too" she rambled
"Actually..." Sam trailed off and that got Halley's attention making her immediately raise to look at her cousin
"Oh, my god. Seriously?" Halley already knew, there was only one boy in her life at the moment
"Well, I'm trying to do something but he says he doesn't wanna screw anything up as he's staying here and all"
"Bullshit" Discussing Sam love life distracted her from her lack of one so she was more than glad to bussy herself with her cousin "Do not worry, he'll be on his knees for you soon enough" Halley thought about what she said, Sam and her frowning at the same time "That sounded way dirtier than I thought, but you got my point"
"Yeah" Sam let out in a laugh

We love Halley entering her single era. Halls and Demetri's friendship is gonna be my favorite thing to write, that and Halley and Sam scenes are always wholesome to me
