When Halley woke up from her nap, the last thing she expected was to get dragged to a party by her boyfriend and his friends, she wasn't really a party girl but she accepted to go not having anything else to do.
If she knew what was gonna happen that night she would've stayed at her house watching a movie with her mom. The party was going great, she was hanging out with her boyfriend and she made amends with Moon after she apologized to not only Aisha but also Eli for her behavior, plus seeing Yasmine sulking on a corner just made everything better.
Night came by fast, she had a few beers but nothing else, every person around her clearly getting more drunk by the minute, specially Miguel who hadn't bothered to even talk to her, he just kept glaring at her from afar.
Halley wasn't bothered by whatever Miguel was looking at her for as she was too busy snogging her boyfriend, they were both tipsy, hands all over each other, and she was practically on top of him, that was until Moon called her over.
She stopped what she was doing and after a groan from Eli she walked away towards the other girl
"Moon, what's up?" Halley said with a smile, after spending the afternoon talking with her and seeing her genuinely apologize, the brunette was starting to like Moon, she never hated her in the first place
"I just..." Moon tucked her hair behind her ear "I wanted to apologize to you" Halley was confused, Moon nor Yasmine had done anything towards her "I know that we didn't directly did anything to you, but I can just imagine how it was seeing your friends upset" Moon put her hand on the brunette's shoulder with a kind smile
"Honestly, it's okay. I never had anything against you. It was just Yasmine"
"It still felt right to apologize"
"Well, then apology accepted" they both giggled, happy because they had formed a new friendship

Seeing Yamine get a taste of her own medicine was the highlight of Halley's life, she almost felt bad for the girl, but after remembering everything she had done all sympathy disappeared.
And a few minutes later everything went to shit, Halley was talking with Demetri when she saw her cousin walking down hand in hand with Robby, and a very angry Miguel looking at them, there she knew things were not gonna get pretty. Miguel started walking towards his girlfriend and her companion.
"Dem, wait a second, I'll be back" she started walking towards the three, Miguel was drunk and Robby didn't take anyone's shit not to mention he obviously likes Sam
"Who's this guy?" Miguel asked with a smile, but he was anything but happy
"Hey, I..." Sam tried to speak but was interrupted by Robby
"Wait, this...this is your boyfriend?" Miguel nodded, with his body visibly tense, his smile vanishing
"Yeah" she nodded towards Robby and then looked at her boyfriend "Miguel, relax. This is Robby. He works for my dad"
"Oh, with your dad" he nodded sarcastically "Ok, that makes a lot of sense" Robby found Halley's eyes and raised his eyebrows silently asking what she was doing there and she could ask him the same question
"What's that supposed to mean? Wait, have you been drinking?"
"No, no, no" he let out a dry chuckle "You don't get to turn this on me. I texted and called you all day, and you couldn't answer me back once?" he raised his voice
"No, I literally couldn't. My mom took my phone"
"Oh, that's so convenient!" Miguel was getting too close to Sam, and she knew that he wasn't like that but he was drunk and he was a man, Halley started walking even closer. Robby also didn't like Miguel's attitude and tried to stop him
"Hey, man, just-" he was cut of by Miguel pushing him, making him stumble and fall into his back
"You get out of here!" that's when Halley rushed to her cousin's side
"Miguel, stop it" he gave a step forward menacingly, Halley moved her body in front of Sam's, putting one of her hands on Miguel's chest stopping him from coming closer
"Hey, back off" Hallley warned, if he tried to pull something she wouldn't hesitate on breaking a few bones of his. Migue was her friend, but Sam was family, she was always gonna choose her cousin over a guy she met not even a year ago
"Hey, man, you wanna try that again?" Roby stood up, standing rigth in front of Miguel with his back to the LaRusso's
"Try it again, huh?" Miguel's eyes darkened, Sam tried to put herself as a barrier to stop them from fighting
"Don't" the only thing she managed was getting punched by Miguel
"What the fuck is your problem?" Halley looked at Miguel as if he was the biggest trash of society, he seemed to sober up after realizing what he did and went to help Sam up, Halley blocked him, grabbed his arm and twisted it sideways not enough to cause actual damage but yes to cause pain "Back. Off" she made eye contact with him and held him in that position until Robby got Sam to her feet, then she finally let go
"Sam, I'm sorry"
"What the hell was that? My dad was right about Cobra Kai" Her eyes had a gloss in them from unspilled tears "Good luck at the tournament. I won't be there" Sam grabbed Halley bay her hand and started pulling her away, and the brunette let her, she wasn't in the mood for a party anymore, Robby went behind them
