Eli was up next, against Erick of all people, but he seemed fairly confident. He was warming up for the fight before they were called on the mat
"How are you feeling? Confident?" Halley asked coming up behind him
"Very much" he nodded with a smile "I've spared with him before, I know how he moves"
"Not anymore though. They've been training Miyagi-do, he has new moves. You need to be careful" she was worried, Erick was impulsive and didn't care too much for others, so even if it got him disqualified there was a chance he wouldn't play fair
"I will" he assured
"Eli Mozkowitz from Miyagi-Do" he was announced, Eli looked at her one more time with a smile
"This one's for you" the boy said before jumping to the mat. Halley inevitably smiled brightly at him even if he couldn't see her
"And Erick West from Cobra Kai" Erick got on the mat cockily, he seemed way too sure of himself, like he already knew he was gonna win "Face me. Bow" they did it as everyone could see the tension radiating off them"Face each other. Bow" Halley almost bounced in her place "Positions. Fight!"
Watching Eli fight was a pleasure for Halley, the influence of Miyagi-Do was clear in his form of fighting, but there were still elements from his Cobra Kai teachings that made him an even better fighter. And and even bigger grin spread through her features when Eli's leg impacted Erick's chest
"Point, Moskowitz!" the Miyagi-Dos cheered among them "Ready!" they got back into their positions, a scowl in Erick's face, obviously angry with the point he had practically given away "Fight!" That fight brought satisfaction to watch, well, not for the Cobra Kais as Eli was absolutely rocking Erick. Halley could see the deep scowl on Silver's face as it was clear that his student was losing. Eli's hand hit Erick's shoulder "Point, Moskowitz" Sam walked close to Halley as they linked arms and smiled at each other, it was very exciting to watch
"You think he's gonna make the next point?" Sam asked, they both knew Eli was gonna win, he had it in the bag, the question was, Erick would manage to score at least one point or would he lose the fight with no points
"He definitely will" there were few things Halley had been so sure off in her life
"Ready!" Eli turned his head slightly to make eye contact with his girl and winked before turning back. Sam nudged Halley playfully with a teasing smile "Fight!" and Erick attacked first, he was enraged and he could feel the glare from his senseis burning his back. One thing was losing but losing without managing to score one single point was even worse. He was trying to catch Eli off guard, unsuccessfully. It was clear Erick was no match for Eli and the fight ended when Eli managed to hit Erick's side "Point, Moskowitz! Winner!" The miyagi-dos cheered and clapped for their team mate, as did some people in the stands. Erick glared and everyone and walked away to his senseis who looked like they were ready to explode
