"See, I told you everything was gonna be just fine" Halley said with a smile as they walked hand in had to her bedroom after dinner
"Thank god" he sighed in relief "I was freaking out" he admitted
"I could tell" Halley nodded teasingly
"Shut up" he said, but his tone remained loving as he hugged her "I was so scared they wouldn't like me, because then what?"
"Then nothing" she shrugged in the hug "I would've still continue to date you even if they didn't like you, I've done it before" she laughed lowly remembering how none of her family members approved of her dating Hawk and she continued to do so for a long while before realizing they were right
"Yeah, and I was a douche then" he reminded her
"Well, yes, but you're not anymore" she leaned back to kiss him "So if someone doesn't like you they can go eat shit" she kissed him one more time, Eli smiling into the kiss

Daniel had called all of the Miyagi-dos to the dojo for a meeting, so once again, all of the teens were standing in front if his sensei
"It's great to see you all back here again" the older man started "You know, we had one goal going into the All Valley. Beat Cobra Kai. We walked away with a first-place trophy, thanks to Eli '' they all clapped for him, Eli smiling proudly "As far as the rest of the tournament, well, it just didn't go our way. We say we'd close our dojo if we lost. And...that's exactly what we're going to do" in Daniel's face they could all see that was not what he wanted to do "As of today, I am shutting down Miyagi-Do Karate"
"What?!" Both cousins reacted first
"Wait, Mr. LaRusso-" Eli started but was interrupted
"I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, but with everything going on at Cobra Kai, continuing to operate Miyagi-Do only leaves a target on your backs. Guys, I have to keep you safe, okay? Just remember what you've learned. This dojo may be closing, but Miyagi-Do lives inside each and every one of you still" the teens were all looking at each other, not being able to believe what they were hearing
"Great. Guess I'm getting a summer job" Demetri shrugged, but he looked deflated. And with that everyone walked away talking among each other
"We now have a lot of free time that I don't know how to fill" Halley mumbled to herself trying to come up with a way to make her afternoons not so empty "I guess I could resume baking, I haven't done that in a while" she nodded to herself, Eli besides her listening to her every word
"I think that's a great idea" he nodded enthusiastically
"You only say that because you know you get to have of what I make" Halley laughed
"Maybe" he smiled cheekily
"Come on, I saw a recipe a while ago that I wanted to make but never had the time to, I guess now I do" she pulled Eli by the arm as she talked his ear off about the recipe, but he wouldn't have it any other way

"There is no way he has the audacity to text you" Yasmine rolled her eyes before eating a piece of her croissant
"I'm with Yasmine on this one" Halley nodded along surprising herself, if you had told her a year ago she would be agreeing with Yasmine of all people she would have said you're absolutely delusional "I wouldn't even answer to be honest" The blonde hummed along and Sam sighed looking at the phone where Miguel had texted her while they were out having brunch
"Come on girls, he's trying" Moon, as always, tried to see a more positive side of things "Maybe you should talk to him" she shrugged. Sam looked at her friends around the table and when her eyes connected with her cousins's Halley immediately knew he was gonna text back
"What do I text back?" Sam looked back at her phone
"Don't say much. Be short and to the point" Yasmine advised
"Just type 'We should talk tonight' peridot " Halley told her
"That's a little dry-" Moon tried to intervene
"Do it" the blonde urged and Sam complied and put the phone down as they all continued eating pretending like they weren't waiting for another message. More messages came through, Sam read them and then turned the phone so the girls could too
"I just... feel like things have been off lately. There's so much I wanna say. Maybe I should just...lay it all out?"
"No!" Yasmine took Sam's phone away
"Absolutely not!" Halley said at the same time
"Less is more" Yasmine started typing
"I'm with Yas and Halls, it's better to have these conversations in person" the blonde hummed
"Keep it short. Not sweet" she gave the phone back
"I'm okay" Sam read out loud "Should I add a smiley face or something?"
"No!" Yasmine was quick to answer
"Definitely" Moon contradicted, both girls looked at each other and Sam looked at Halley for assistance
"I wouldn't" she raised her hands up when Moon looked at her the same way she looked at Yasmine. Sam sent the message just as Yas typed it

"Absolutely freaking not" Halley hurried to the door of her house when she saw Miguel waiting for her along with Demetri and Eli backing him up
"Halley, please, hear me out" Miguel rushed towards her
"I don't have anything to hear from you" The brunette shook her head "In fact, I shouldn't even be talking to you right now" not knowing how Miguel and Sam's relationship stood at the moment she kinda felt like she was betraying Sam for talking to him when they hadn't sort things out
"Please, I'm desperate. I need your help" he anything but begged "I want to make things better with Sam, but I don't know how to"
"Miguel" Halley sighed "I wouldn't even be sure if you can fix things, but if you're gonna try at least do something significant, something that means anything for the both of you. Listen, I really don't have time for this, I just came to drop some things up." Halley stepped into the house "Also, tell Eli that if he doesn't wanna end up in the same deepshit you are now he should stop bringing you to my house for this" the brunette said before closing the door, she knew it had been her boyfriends idea to come to her house for Miguel to talk to her, and she didn't appreciated to be ambushed by her cousin's ex? at her own house.
She knew it had been him because she told her she was going home to get a swimsuit to go to a spa with the girls, so he knew exactly where she was gonna be.
