The qualifying rounds were definitely going better than the skills competition, they were doing great. Halley, Sam and Eli had already qualified for the next round.
"Great news" Sam walked up to Daniel and Halley that were watching
Chris' match
"What?"
"Demetri just won his match!" Halley smiled at that, Demetri doubted himself way too much, she knew he was capable of being just as good as any of the other fighters in the room "That puts him at the quarter finals with me, Hawk and Halley"
"Great" Daniel cheered lowly
"How are we doing here" she looked to the fight that was about to happen
"We're still in second overall" Daniel nodded "But we have four fighters still alive. We just need one to advance, and we can take the lead" the only person above them was Cobra Kai, so if Chris won against Tyler whey would position themselves in first place
"You got this, Chris" Halley reassured
"Fight!" The referee got out of the way. And when they fought it was as if Kyler already knew Chris' moves, he blocked them all and landed a punch right in his chest
"Red side, point. Red side, winner" Daniel, Halley and Sam sighed disappointedly. They turned to look at Nathaniel fighting against Kenny, but it was the same story, Kenny won. There was one last match happening, the Miyagi-do losing against a Cobra Kai once more. But their moves were premeditated, and familiar.
"This is sketchy at the least" Halley narrowed her eyes
"They know our moves" Daniel realized staring at Silver
"I wonder how?" Sam sarcastically asked as all three of them turned to look at Robby

"Alright, folks. We've witnessed some great fighting today. But you ain't seen nothing yet. Because we have arrived at the quarter finals!" Everyone cheered "Which means things are about to get intense. Of the eight boys and eight girls, on this stage, one of each will be named All Valley champion. And then, we'll tally all the points to determine which dojo has earned the title of Grand Champion. And since the points get higher in each round...it's still any dojo's game! So you keep your eyes on this here blue mat, because we're just getting started!"
Miguel started, and won, as expected. Devon put up a good fight but Tory was older and had more training so she lost and there was one point that was out of bounds for everyone's eyes, except apparently, the referee's
"And with that, Eagle Fang's hopes of winning Girls All Valley Champ have gone up in smoke" and in Halley's opinion, so did their hopes of winning over all, it was possible but too many things needed to go their way and that included Miguel winning the whole thing, which he had already done, so they had chances, not high ones, but it was achievable
