Halley Larusso had the perfect life, amazing friends, loving family, good grades and money, what else could she ask for? Well, that's easy to answer:

There were a few matches and it was very exciting to see everyone fight, it was obvious that the Cobras had a way more aggressive approach than everyone else, some were better than others, she noticed Aisha was pretty good. Then there was Robby who had improved so much with just a few months of training it was surprising to see how good he was handling it.
Now was time for Eli's first match, Halley knew he had gotten good, how good? Well she was about to find out.
At first she could see him unfocused allowing his opponent to land a kick than made him stumble back, but he recovered fast answering with a punch that earned him a win
"Yeah!" he celebrated taking of the upper part of his gi, then turning back showing of his tattoo
"Damn" Halley said looking at him, it was obvious Karate had done nothing but good thing to his physic, Sam nudged her with her elbow, a teasing smile on her face "Shut up" Halley said jokingly
"I didn't say a thing"
"Yeah, but I heard you think about it"
"That makes no sense" Sam laughed
"Just shut up" now it was Halley's turn to nudge Sam. Fights kept going, Miguel and Robby making it to the semi-finals, and Aisha being beat by Xander, the one with the crazy screaming mom
"I'll be right back" Sam left after her former friend when she saw she was upset. After one more fight Hawk also made it to the semi-finals. The guy Miguel had to fight against in the semi-finals was getting on Halley's nerves, nobody could be so politically correct, between him, his speech and his mom screaming at her ear every two seconds, she was ready to go insane
And finally it was time for the first match of the semi-finals to start. It was Miguel against Xander, the fight started very aggressive, both taking the offensive approach, Miguel especially looked angry, Xander's mom kept screaming, and Halley didn't know what she was saying anymore. Miguel delivered a kick to the head sending Xander to the floor easily
"That's 2-1, Diaz" Miguel was one point away from winning. Miguel was very good, but it was obvious Xander had been training for longer, as his technic was slightly better, and had more tricks that he was using to confuse Miguel, which didn't work because Miguel managed to kick him in the ribs sending Xander once again to the floor and securing himself a spot for the finals
"Winner!" the referee said, raising Miguel's arm
"That is bullshit! Bulshit!" Xander's mom wasn't taking the defeat kindly, Xnader however shook Miguel's hand and they bowed to each other
"Miguel Diaz is headed to the finals. Next up Hawk versus Keene" That's when Halley was split, Robby was her friend and Eli was her boyfriend and best friend, she clapped, for the both of them. Robby walked into the mat while Hawk jumped into it, obviously trying to show dominance. After bowing to each other and to the referee they went into fighting stance.
