II. ɪ ᴍᴇᴀɴ, ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ʜɪꜱ ꜱᴡɪᴍꜱᴡɪᴛꜱ, ɪ'ᴅ ʙᴇ ᴀɴɢʀʏ ᴛᴏᴏ

A few of days later, Halley was in her house with Eli, just the two of them, she was baking cookies while Eli was just sitting in on the counter, watching her every move, they had a lot of days like this, Halley loved cooking and Eli loved watching her, so it was a win win

"I still can't believe you are here baking with me when you could be at Sam's party" Eli's soft voice resonated in the kitchen. Halley had everything in her to be a popular kid, she was hot, had money and a strong personality, he didn't understand how she still choose to hang out with someone like him

"Yeah, because i'd much rather see Kyler flirting with my cousin than baking delicious cookies that I can eat with you after" the boy smiled softly at that "She even asked if she could throw the party in my house, it's like she doesn't know me at all, having my house full of her friends sounds like my worst nightmare, also i'm the one that has to clean up after because they sure as hell won't help me, that's a no no for me" Halley ranted, that was one of Eli's favorite things, seeing how she moved her hands around, her facial expressions.

They complemented each other perfectly, Eli didn't talk much, when he did his voice was soft and timid,and he was most definitely an introvert, Halley on the other side was the complete opposite, she was outspoken, her voice was firm and clear and she was clearly an extrovert.

The girl spent years trying to get Eli out of his shell, trying to get him to speak for himself, which was impossible, so she settled for doing it herself, if he couldn't defend himself, she'd do it for him, that was a promise she made to herself in fifth grade

A couple of hours later Halley and Eli were laying on her bed, he was asleep and she was on her phone, it had taken quite some time before he felt comfortable sleeping on her bed, with the whole bed wetting thing, but once he got used to it he was falling asleep everywhere

"...and he kicked everyone out!" Sam always called her or went to see her whenever she had a problem with anyone, this time was her dad 

"I mean, they were wearing his swimsuits, i'd be angry too"

"Shut up, Ley" she let out a laugh "It was so embarrassing"

"Don't worry about it, Sammy, no one will remember by tomorrow, and if they do i'll help you kick their asses so hard they'll forget" the both let out a laugh, that was why Sam always went to her, either she'd laugh the problem off or she would get great advice

"Why are you whispering?" Sam knew why, she knew Eli was at her house and also knew that most often than not he fell asleep for a few hours before going home

"Oh, Eli's sleeping next to me"

"How you two haven't gotten together is still beyond me" Sam sighed

"What are you talking about?" she played dumb

"Oh, come on, you two are perfect for each other, if you don't end up together then there's no hope for the rest of us" Halley blushed, she might have told sam about the small crush she developed in Eli last summer, she was hoping it would go away, but it didn't

After letting him sleep a while more, she decided to wake him up, as it was late and he had to go home

"Eli" She whispered shaking him softly "Eli, wake up, it's late" she heard him mumble something, but it was muffled by the pillow "Eli, you gotta go home"

"Nooo" his words came out as a whine, while he buried himself deeper into the bed

"If you are not home in half an hour your mom's gonna come here looking for you" they both knew that  wasn't gonna happen, but Halley was hoping in his sleepy state he would believe it

"Don't care" he said with his face still pressed against her pillow. Halley sighed and stood up from her crouching position besides the bed

"If you wake up now i'll let you take the rest of the cookies" she walked out of the room knowing that was enough to wake him up, he loved her cookies

"All of them?" steps were immediately heard coming down stairs, soon enough a completely disheveled Eli appeared at the kitchen

"Yep, all of them" he looked like he could jump of happiness right there, instead he just gave her the biggest smile he could make, and she couldn't help but smile back "Go wash your face, you look like a mess" he practically ran to the bathroom while she packed the cookies for him, while she was doing that Sam's words a popped in her mind

"How you two haven't gotten together is still beyond me"

"Oh, come on, you two are perfect for each other"

Maybe she was right, but maybe she wasn't and if she made a move on him it would fuck up their friendship, and she couldn't risk loosing one of the most important people in her life. Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt Eli hug her from behind, his arms arround her waist, he gave a quick squeeze and let go, letting her turn around to face him. She gave him the cookies

"Thank you. I better be going know, I didn't knew it was this late" she nodded and walked him to the door

"Goodnight, Eli" she kissed his cheek and watch his face turn a light pink, that happened every time and she found it the cutest thing in the world

"G'night" he whispered not trusting his voice and pretty much escaped from there fearing he would embarrass himself

Halley closed the door after he disappeared from her line of vision and pressed her back against it with a sigh, the biggest smile on her face

Hello, hello

So, this chapter was all fluff, honestly I haven't been this attached to a fictional couple that i'm writing in a while,  they are the cutest thing and i'm so excited to develop their relationship.

Also, fair warning before you continue reading, don't expect a slowburn, if that's what you wanted then this is not the fanfic for you, i decided to do it that way because the time that we got before Eli turns into an asshole is very short, however, it's not gonna be rainbows and butterflies, don't worry, there's gonna be a lot of angst, and tears, an pain
