Halley was right, she wasn't getting back to that mat. She had dislocated her shoulder and the doctor advised her to not go back to the fight and then to lay off training for a few weeks too. Then she put it back in place and Halley didn't think she had felt pain like that before.

"How are you feeling?" Daniel squeezed her not injured shoulder softly, same kind eyes staring at her

"Defeated" Halley sighed

"You did well, Hallie" he called her by the nickname she was sure no one had used since she was ten "This wasn't your fault"

"It was though"Halley looked up at him "I got distracted, I looked at the bleachers for a second, lost focus and let her get to me like that" she wasn't upset that she lost, she was upset she lost like that

"It was a mistake" Daniel comforted "We all make them. You did well, don't beat yourself up about it"

Once Daniel was sure Halley was okay, he left to continue to watch the fights, the next one was Sam for her place in the finals so Halley told him to go. The brunette was left alone in the white room and she had time to think, she was so sure she had seen her mom in the crowd but she knew that was not possible and convinced herself it was just a product of her imagination

"Halley!" Eli's voice took her out of her thoughts, he was practically sprinting towards her with a worried look, and even more when he saw her arm in a sling "What happened? We were told you weren't gonna finish the fight" Halley smiled softly at him

"My shoulder is dislocated" she explained "I was told to keep it still for a few weeks." But don't worry, I'll live" she joked and Eli smiled at that, he hugged her being mindful of her injured shoulder "How's Sam's match going" Halley asked truly hoping for her cousin to get to the finals

"When I left she was winning two-zero" he informed "She's most likely gonna win"

"She better"

Both teens decided to walk back out to the gym, as it was almost time for Eli to know the fate of his fight with Miguel. As soon as they were visible to their team she was bombarded by her worried teammates, she reassured them she was okay, specially Sam and calming Demetri down with a joke about his now recovered broken arm.

Sam had won her fight as expected and now she was going to the finals with Tory. She could see the uneasiness spilling from her cousins pores but decided to mention it later when it was just the two of them

"Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do are neck in neck on the leaderboard. But there's a dark horse...Or should I say a dark bird?" Daryl looked around "That still has a chance. Will Eagle Fang Karate stay alive in our dojo race? We're about to find out. Miguel Diaz has one minute to return to the mat!" the counter started as they were all left waiting. Eli was preparing mentally once again to face Miguel.
