Finally, Halley had been discharged from the hospital and her parents had finally arrived, they had both hugged her tightly when they saw her but the girl simply stood there limply. Halley didn't feel like interacting with them, or with anyone really, the emotional and physical exhaustion had lingered for days after the fight.

Compared to what she was before, she now looked like a shell of that, her eyes empty and her face void of emotion, she really couldn't care enough to at least try and put on a fake smile.

Ultimately, Christine and Diego had decided to let her go up to her room and rest knowing that she needed that more than anything. Halley decided to take a shower because the last one she had was the morning before the fight and she felt absolutely disgusting. She could feel the remains of the dry blood in her hair that had been stuck in there even after the nurse kindly tried to wash it off with a wet rag.

She entered the bathroom avoiding looking at the mirror and made her way straight to the shower, she took off her clothes and let the water fall all over herself, she closed her eyes stayed like that for a while but she knew that just standing there wasn't gonna do anything for her still very much dirty body

♢♢♢

The shower took what it felt like ages, Halley had scrubbed every single part of her body, even going over her still healing injuries, she scrubbed until her body felt numb from it and just then she was satisfied.

She got out of the shower and put on her bathrobe and for the first time she made eye contact with herself through the mirror, she was staring at someone she didn't recognise and she wondered if one day she would be satisfied with the person she saw in the mirror. That was something she never had to wonder about, she was always sure of herself, she had always been told how amazing she was and she believed it. Erick destroyed that confidence when they were together, he stomped on it, chewed it and then spat it in her face. Halley had managed to recover from that, she had healed and learned to be herself again but now standing in front in the mirror all of the doubts came back, everything she had escaped from had catched up to her once again and she felt like everything around her was falling apart.

Her eyes wandered from her eyes and started inspecting everything about her on sight, the bruises hadn't faded one bit and she knew they were gonna be there for a while, and she hated them, she hated them because they were the reminder of what happened.

Finally, after judging every single thing she could Halley's eyes fell on her hair, she always loved it, the color, the texture, the length, everything, but for some reason it didn't feel right anymore, she blinked a couple of times with her mind blank of thoughts and then after one impulsive thought she reached for the scissors in that were resting in the bathroom counter, without a second thought she grabbed a big part of her hair and snapped a big chunk off it.

Both sides of the LaRusso family were worried about their daughters, they both seemed so dull and worn out after the fight, their hearts hurt for them, they were both too young to have to go through things like those. They collectively decided to take Sam to see Halley, they thought it would be good for them to have someone there, so they could support each other and when Sam didn't refuse they immediately drove her there.

She smiled weakly to her aunt and uncle before going upstairs to her cousin's room leaving all four adults looking at each other with hopeful glances, just wanting their girls back to normal. After Sam knocked the door of the bedroom several times without any answer she decided to just walk in and after Halley was nowhere to be found in the bedroom she made her way to the bathroom, the door was open.

Sam gave a step back when she saw inside, the last thing she expected to find in there was Halley sitting on the floor with a pair of scissors in one hand and a chunk of her hair in the other, she was staring at it as if contemplating what she had done

"Halley, what the hell?" was all Samantha managed to get out of her mouth, the other girl turned around slowly to find the widened eyes of her cousin

"Hi" she waved the hand that had the hair in it

"What are you doing" Sam kneeled besides her cousin and taking the scisors slowly out of her hand, the only thing she recieved was a shrug "Jesus" she gasped looking at how badly she had cut her hair "You want me to help with that?" she noded her hair towards her hair and it took Halley a few seconds to answer

"Please" she said in a small voice. They both knew Sam was no hairdresser but it'd had to do for the time being

Hello, hello

When I tell you that Halley needs to be protected at all costs I mean it, this poor girl has gone THROUGH IT, and unfortunately as I like to write angst that is something you'll have to read often

Also, I feel like I need to explain something, every original character I write has some part of me in them, and almost all of them have one thing in common, and that is my savior complex, every single time I see a character that's struggling in any way my instinct is always want to help them and in the process of continuing to watching them I end up falling in love with them and that's how most of my fanfics are born, they come from the necessity of my brain to give them someone they can rely on.

That's why in almost every book I write a pattern repeats it self, it's always a vulnerable love interest and a savior OC, but I know that everyone, regardless of how strong they are, always struggle and have flaws and sorrow because we can't be strong all the time, so that's why I always give my Oc's something to be vulnerable about, sometimes the love interest will help them get through it or sometimes, like in this fanfic, the family and friends will be the ones being there for them.

Anyways, I felt like you should know that about me as it is a big part of my personality as a writer, have a great day everyone :)
