Whatever conversation they were having around the dojo were interrupted by Chozen's whistle for them to gather together
"Line up!" The man said
"So, where are my dad and Johnny?" Sam was the one to ask the question on everyone's minds
"Not here. Today, you train with me "He said something in Japanese they didn't understand "Attention!" he translated and they all stood more straight before he yelled something once again they didn't know what it meant "Bow" he sighed before translating. Everyone complied "Cobra Kai gaining ground. We must prepare. Come'' they all gave a step forward "Now, we must learn about Yanbaru Kuina"
"What is that?" Chris asked "Like, some top-secret karate move? Like a throat rip" he mimicked the action
"No, it's a bird" Chozen simply said "In English it is called Okinawa rail. Endangered. Cannot fly"
"Hence. Endangered" Demetri nodded as Chosen pulled out several eggs
"So, these are the real eggs?" Miguel pointed at them
"No. Trader Joe's. $3.29" Halley laughed under her breath at the old man's answer "Take egg" he ordered and each oth the students took one
"Now what?" Halley asked
"Yanbaru Kuina must protect egg. From Kume Shima habu. Poison snake. You must do the same" Chosen started an Hourglass "Begin your preparation"
"What are we protecting them from?" Robby asked
"From me" Chozen did a show of his weapons "Go! Go!" they all went running, all of them thinking of something to protect their egg. Halley thought about it for a good while and she knew fighting Chozen wasn't the smartest idea but nothing else came to her mind, so she put her egg in the pocket of her hoodie and called it a day
"What are you doing with your egg?" Robby's voice came from behind her before he appeared in her line of vision
"I'm putting it in my hoodie" She showed him the egg before putting it back in its place
"Then what?"
"I'll fight him" Robby raised his eyebrow incredulously "It's the only thing I could come up with okay? What are you doing with it, genius?"
"I'm burying it. If he can't see it he can't break it" he shrugged
"That's actually good. I might steal that idea" she joked
"I'll sue for it" Robby warned jokingly
"You wouldn't" Halley gasped and brought a hand to her chest "It's great to have you on the light side, Robby" she dropped the joke, Robby was someone she spent a lot of time with when he started learning Karate, his presence was missed around the dojo
"It's great to be back on the light side" he nodded
"I saw you fixed things with Miguel. I was very surprised when I found out, however did that happen?" Halley was confused when Miguel broke the news about them being okay with each other, as far as she knew they were enemies and wanted to fight each other up then all of the sudden they were fine
