It was not a secret for anyone who knew Halley Larusso that she loved over-dressing, since she was a kid, she would wear the most elegant dresses to go to the park, and refuse to use jeans or leggings like every other kid. Well that didn't change now that she was older, and that day was no exception. Eli would've felt under-dressed if it was any other person, but since it was Halley that was normal for him, he was used to her wearing heels and skirts everywhere
When they got out of the car the boy felt weak in the knees, he hadn't seen how beautiful she looked as they were in the car and kinda dark, but now that he could see her perfectly he didn't fail to tell her that she looked amazing. They entered the theater and Eli refused to let her pay for her snacks and drink as she had already gotten the tickets so he paid.
The place was full of people, you couldn't walk two steps without bumping into someone. With a lot of struggle they managed to get past the herd of people and to their seats. Eli was practically jumping with excitement, they started talking about what they expected the movie to be like.
Most couples that went on dates to the theater ended up just making out in the middle of the movie, not Halley and Eli though, they were both nerds, he had gotten her into the movies a few years back and had been waiting for the new release since 2015

After the girl had dropped Eli at his house she received a call from her cousin
"Soooo, how was your no date?" Sam had told her how her conversation with Miguel went, and Halley had settled on call their hang out a "no date" as Sam refused to call it a date
"It was amazing" she giggled
"Oh, god. Did you just giggle? That sounds like it went better than amazing"
"He is incredible. Can I come over to your house and I'll tell you everything?. You can also tell me about your date with lover boy" Halley rolled her eyes at the nickname for Eli
"I don't know why you even ask, you are gonna go anyway"
"True. See you" she made a kissy noise and ended the call. That night both of the Larusso girls had amazing dates, and went to bed with a smile in their faces

"You what?!" Halley was getting ready to go to her uncle's house because her grandma was coming over when she received a call from Eli
"Yeah, I'm getting a shot in case it had rabies" Halley snorted because she found it amusing, but was still worried for Eli, ever since he joined Cobra Kai he had gotten hurt an uncountable amount of times, yes he was training Karate and an injury here and there was meant to happen, she knew that better than anyone, but it was not normal to come out of class with a new injury every time, she didn't say anything because he was happy, and that was enough for her
"Jesus Christ. Are you okay though? Besides the bite, obviously"
"Yeah, it doesn't even hurt that bad" he answered as if it was nothing, but the girl knew that it had to hurt like a bitch
"Alright" she looked at the time in her watch "Shit, I have to go, I'm late. I'll see you later, maybe you can sleep over"
"Yeah, sure" he answered almost immediately, she could imagine him nodding frantically
"Okay, see you later" she hung up and went to her car, driving to her uncle's house. She was almost jumping with excitement on her seat, she loved her grandmother. When she finally arrived she pretty much jumped out of her car and ran inside, having seen her grandma's car parked outside
"Grammy!" Halley jumped into her arms, Lucille taking her with pleasure
"Hally! You've gotten so big!" she really hadn't last time they saw was two month ago when her parents left for their business trips, and she looked the exact same as that day, but she wasn't about to say that to her grandma

The happy moment didn't last long, at least not for the two teenagers in there, Daniel was making the food in the grill while complaining about Cobra Kai, and seeing as the two girls had their boyfriends in there, they desperately wanted the topic to change
"You know, it's bad enough that this monster's teaching kids. Now he's somehow convinced the All Valley Board to let Cobra Kai into the tournament" Halley knew that, Eli had been bragging about how he was going to win, the other day
"Oh, that's horrible. They can't let them back. Oh, they're a bunch of bullies"
"They can't all be bullies, right?"
"Yeah, just because they're in Cobra Kai doesn't mean they're bad" Halley continued after Sam, both thinking about their respective lovers
"Trust me, Sweethearts, you don't know half of it" she looked at them with her eyes wide open, as if that would make the understand better "Those Cobra jerks made my little boy's life miserable" He pointed at Daniel "Tell them how they pushed you down that hill"
"Well, they've already heard that, Ma" indeed they had, specially Sam and Halley, he had told them that history like 20 times
"I thought it was a cliff" Halley snickered, raising her fist in Anthony's direction, the younger boy smiled and bumped his fist with her. Halley and Anthony weren't the closest, as they were very far apart in ages, but they were definitely closer than he and Sam were
"You want pasta salad" Amanda offered to Lucille
"Oh, no, thank you" the older woman made a face "I-I- I don't like that prepackaged stuff from the store. It's..."she shuddered as if Amanda was offering a cup with piss
"Oh, well, I would've made some, but I got home late from the dealership"
"Oh, no, that's okay. I get it. It's tough being a working mom, but at least you have a partner" she pointed at Daniel, everyone else silently waiting to see how it played out, they knew the two women weren't the best of friends "Remember how I used to come from work and then start cooking from scratch?"
"Yeah, Ma" Daniel patted Amanda's back as he sat down, it was obvious he didn't wanted to make either of the women angry
"You know, that son of a bitch has a lot of nerve entering the tournament" Halley didn't know what was worse, her family talking shit about Cobra Kai or her grandmother being passive-aggressive to her aunt "Specially after everything he's done to you" Loui sat in the table too "And you fixed his car for free. I don't know man, I say we get the car back. You know, I could find out where he lives"
"Dad, what if Cobra Kai has changed?" Halley looked at Sam, begging her with her eyes to just drop it "I mean, there are some kids from my school who are in it" she obviously didn't get the memo "That doesn't automatically make them bad, right?"
"Please, Cobra Kai will never change" said to Sam, but then also put his focus on Halley "You both promise me you stay away from the kids who are associated with it. Alright?" well, considering Halley was sliding her tongue down Eli's throat and one of her best friends was a Cobra Kai that was gonna be kind of a problem

Everything went out of control, they all started fighting and not only for Halley but for everyone was a relief when they finished eating, they cleaned everything and everyone went their way, Halley texted Eli and drove home, at that point just wanting to snuggle in bed with her favorite person
