"Come on, dye your hair with me, we can be matching" Eli insisted for the tenth time since Halley started doing his hair
"I think we're already established that green doesn't look good on me" Hlley shook her head
"That's because the rest of your hair was blonde"
"I'm not dyeing my whole hair green, Eli" her eyes widened as she shook her head
"Not your whole head, but maybe part of it. Maybe half, like the under part of it" Halley sighed and stayed quiet for a few seconds, thinking over what she was about to do and after some consideration she figured it couldn't hurt to try something new
"Fine" Eli cheered at her answer
"We're gonna look badass tomorrow"

"What in the world is up with your hair?" Was the first thing Sam asked when Halley walked in the Cobra Kai dojo
"We're matching" Halley smiled pointing at her boyfriend walking in right behind her, both of their hairs shining the same way "We thought it would look cool" she shrugged
"It does" Sam nodded immediately looking between the couple "Better matching hair than matching tattoos" she joked
"Oh, god yes" Halley agreed quickly, she loved Eli but there was no way in hell she was ever getting a matching tattoo with him "Definitely better than tattoos." Halley stared at Sam for a few seconds longer seeing how the stress of the fight to come was getting to her cousin, Halley's colorful new hair had served as a distraction for a few seconds but the thought of facing Tory again was not something that was gonna slip Sam's mind easily "You'll do great, Sammy"
"Let's hope I do, for the sake of the dojo" Sam sighed and her cousin squeezed her shoulder in reassurement before they both walked to where the other members of the dojo where standing

Against Eli, Silver had decided to send Kenny Payne, one of the youngest ones in the dojo and Anthony's bully. In Halley's eyes there was no chance Eli would be beaten by the younger kid but knowing how dirty the Cobra Kai's played there was a lingering doubt in her brain and a bad feeling in her gut, both things she decided to keep to herself as she didn't wanna worry her boyfriend and those were probably stupid fears of hers. The boys were up first in the mat
"Time to begin" The revisor from the tournament spoke up "Eli Mozkowitz and Kenny Payne, please take the mat" Once again, Halley felt unsure about all that and the look on Kenny's face wasn't helping much, he was intimidating for someone that wasn't even in highschool yet
"Face me" the referee instructed "Bow. Face each other. Bow. Ready" both went into positions, Kenny's visibly more aggressive than Eli's "Fight!" Kenny's stance was only showing a bit of how aggressive he came into the fight, as soon as he was allowed he threw everything he had to Eli, the older teen only avoiding and in a matter of seconds Kenny had scored a point by kicking Eli's side "Point! 1-0, Payne" she could see the shift in Eli's face, before he had been told by Robby to go easy on the kid but seeing as the younger boy was not as defenseless as he once was it seemed like Eli couldn't go easy on him without giving up the fight entirely "Ready? Fight!" Eli now prevented the aggressiveness and matched with some of his own, managing to score a point that the senseis and students from Miyagi-do cheered for "Out of bounds!" The referee stopped their cheer "No point"
