Halley stood there, watching the mass of people disperse and the Cobra Kai's pick themselves up. Hawk was the first one on his feet and immediately started looking around, he knew she was still there and the thought of that terrified him. When he finally made eye contact with the girl he knew there was no going back, the look on her face wasn't of anger, it was pure exhaustion and defeat.
"Hall's-" he tried talking when he got close enough
"Don't" she stopped him "Do not say anything. I'll be the one talking, because I'm done" he flinched at the tone she was using"I'm done fighting. I'm done pretending. I'm done with all of this'' she signaled between the two of them
"Don't do this" he said in a whisper but all he got from her was a sarcastic short laugh
"Me?" she pointed a herself "I'm not doing anything, this was all you, Hawk" the name slipped from her lips with venom and he gave a step back, it was the first time she called him that and he hated the way it sounded "I would ask you what the fuck were you thinking but honesly I don't wanna know, I don't care. I give up" She ran her hands through her hair pulling on it from the stress clouding her mind
"He deserved it" Halley looked up and saw the way his eyes darkened and his demeanor changed going into defense mode "He's a little pussy that couldn't handle the real world, he-"
"Stop" she said when he started to raise his voice, she didn't have to raise hers, in fact, the mere whisper that the word came out as was enough to make him stop "Don't you get it? This isn't about Demetri or Cobra Kai or Miyagi-do. This is about you, you and your stupid obsession with being someone you're not to impress your new 'friends' and your asshole of a sensei"
"I'm not pretending" he said with a clenched jaw "And Sensei Lawrence and Kresse made me realize who I really am" he was looking down at her but she wasn't intimidated by him, she knew who he was deep inside and that gave her the advantage
"Then that's a shame. Because if this is really you then I fell in love with a liar" Hawk's tensed body completely lost its stance when the words came out of her mouth "Because I love you, Eli. Or I did, because I didn't fell in love with this" she once again pointed at him
"That sounds like your problem, not mine" his hands clenched into fists to keep the from shaking "If you can't accept that I have changed and that I don't need you to protect me anymore then that's not my problem"
"That was never the problem. Change is fine, you being able to defend yourself is more than fine. You finding a new interest and more friends is awesome" she raised her hands in the air "What is not fine is for you to become a bully and turn yourself into a dick to impress some lame old man" Hawk's lip trembled with rage and grabbed her upper arms to bring her towards him, squeezing harder than he intended
"I'm not a bully" he said slowly in a rageful whisper "And sensei Lawrence is not lame" looking into his eyes Halley could no longer recognize the person she was looking at. The grip on her arms intensified. The mix between the physical pain and the pain of her heart breaking brought tears to her eyes
"Let go" she whispered, not fully trusting her voice "Please, let go. You're hurting me" something snapped in Hawk's head, his eyes widened and he let go of her realizing what he was doing. She gave two steps back trying to put enough distance between them. He opened his mouth with teary eyes "I don't know who the fuck you are, but you sure as hell aren't the guy I love "Halley took a deep breath"When you're done being an asshole and realize how fucked up you are, and how your shitty friends don't give a crap about you... for your sake I hope is not too late. You better hope what's left of Eli then is enough to build your life back up" one single tear fell from her eye "We're done. Goodbye, Hawk"
Halley LaRusso walked away with her head down, tears pooling her eyes, she didn't let them fall until she was in her car. When she locked herself in there the sob that left her lips was heartbreaking. She felt a part of her going numb and the other was just angry, she wanted to scream and yell at the top of her lungs. Her forehead made contact with the steering wheel and the tears fell feeling like they were infinite.
Eli Moskowitz was left standing in the middle of the food court of the mall, his eyes were full with unshed tears, and he wanted to be angry, he wanted to curse her and feel nothing other than hate for her, but he couldn't, because very deep inside he knew she was right. But there was always that voice at the top of his head telling him he had the right to be who he was and all of her words were drowned by the voices of his sensei's.
Halley LaRusso and Eli Moskowitz had spent years in love with each other. Now the only thing left from them was two broken hearts just wanting to go back in time, to maybe do things differently, to avoid the pain and the misunderstandings. They both would give everything to go back to square one of their relationship. Unfortunately that was not possible and now they were stuck with the consequences of their actions

Hello, hello
Jesus christ, I don't even have words for this. I struggled a lot writing this, I had this chapter planned since like I was writing chapter five of this book but at the end I just improvised most of it and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
Anyway, prepare yourselves because the only thing you'll be getting from these two in a while will be angst :)
