"I saw home in your eyes, and I found love in your smile."

-nefeesim

Penelope let out a long, exasperated sigh as she pressed the heel of her hand into her eyes. She was beginning to get a headache. Penelope was currently with her and Elijah's wedding planner, Dianna, with Rebekah. For the last forty-five minutes Rebekah and Dianna have been arguing about save the dates, how Penelope needed to pick some out to send them out in just a few weeks. Penelope wanted to bash her head into the table. She had three guests. Three. Her dad, Emily, and Max. That was it. That was all she had to invite anyway! Since what happened at her birthday, whatever friendship she had with Matt was gone, and she didn't have anyone else besides the Mikaelsons. Her dad, Emily and Max already knew the date of the wedding.

"I don't need them!" Penelope finally snapped, glaring at the older blonde woman. "I don't need save the dates, I don't need wedding invitations! I don't need placement cards for the reception! I don't need them because I am inviting three people!" Penelope ranted as she stood up from the table and stormed out of the room, not caring if she made a scene. Penelope pulled her phone out of her pocket and called Elijah.

"Is everything alright?" Elijah asked after the second ring.

"Let's elope." Penelope said, her voice full of frustration. "I can't do this anymore Elijah."

"Penelope..." He sighed. "What happened? I thought Rebekah going would help?"

"It was! Until they started arguing over the stupid 'save the dates' and invitations! We don't need them! We have a total of six guests! Three of which are in the damn wedding! So really, we have three guests. My dad, Emily and Max." Penelope sighed as she ran her hands through her hair.

"I thought we had more than that?" He asked, confused.

"You were serious about inviting those people?" She asked him. A few months ago, they talked about who they wanted to invite and Penelope said as long as the important people were there (aka, his family), then she didn't care...but she wanted to invite Emily and Max, and begrudgingly her father. Other than those three, she didn't care who came. She didn't think the people he had discussed with her were actual people he felt he wanted to invite.

"Penelope..." Elijah sighed again. "I thought you liked Sophia." He asked and Penelope remembered the pretty red head they had met in Paris two months ago. "And I thought you liked Gregory," He added, mentioning the British witch they had met when he took her to London. They spent four weeks traveling Europe, Elijah felt like she needed a break after what happened in January. He was right.

"I do... I just didn't think we would invite them..."

"Don't you still talk to Sophia?" He asked.

"I do..." Penelope admitted, suddenly feeling bad. "I guess I just...didn't think to invent anyone because the people that matter most will already be there..." She admitted and Elijah chuckled.

"Darling, I understand this is stressing you out...but, try to be open minded about things okay? Did she at least listen about the colors?"

"...Yes." Penelope replied begrudgingly. "Although she said we should do copper instead, something about the orangey tones complimenting the navy..."

"But..." He added, knowing where Penelope was going.

"I like the dusty rose better." Penelope muttered and Eliijah chuckled.

"I do too." He admitted and Penelope felt herself smile. "Go back, pick out your favorites and tell her you will bring them home and will email her your decision tomorrow."
