She walked inside the studio with Blair at her hip. She spotted Mark in the lounge area and put Blair down. Bethany watched from a distance as Blair pulled onto Mark's leg and he swooped her up and kissed her all over. They escaped to his rehearsal room and she went to Dereks.
She peeked through the door and caught his eyes in the mirror. He smiled softly at her and she took a seat in the chairs, watching from the sidelines.
"You're rushing it all." He said aggravated. "I'm going to get some fresh air," he said walking out the door. She sighed and saw Anna starting to go after him.
"Hey, it's best to just let him be. He just needs to cool." Beth said nicely as Anna dipped her head back and sat next to her. "I just don't know what to do. He doesn't realize I'm not a professional. He just seems so stressed all week." She explained and Beth nodded. "I'll go talk to him."
She walked outside and looked both ways and saw him leaning up against the wall on his phone, "Hey." She said softly. He looked up and slid his phone in his pocket and she put her palm on his cheek and leaned her forehead against his.
"You okay?" She said, and he replied, "Just stressed about everything. Our daughter is moving in with us tomorrow!" She nodded and said, "I know. We'll be okay, I promise." He stared deep into her eyes and just held her close. "I love you."
He walked into their home and dropped they keys on the small table. "I'm home!" He shouted and saw Noah run down the stairs. "Dad!" He smiled jumping into his arms. "Hey buddy, what's up?" He asked his son, "I have a question." Derek nodded and said, "Shoot."
"Would you and mommy ever get a divorce or would this family ever fall apart?" Derek was taken back by this, "What? No. I love your mom more than anything, you know that. I could never ever imagine life without her you, or your sister." He said, confused. "Okay, good. This girl in my class said her parents are getting a divorce and that one day my parents might."
"Don't listen to her. She has no clue what she's talking about," he said. "Alright," He looked at his son and was said, "I will never ever stop loving you, Noah. You're my only son, you'll always be so special to me. You got that?" He said and the little boy nodded. "Alright, go change and get ready. We are going to get Kendall tonight!"
They pulled up in front of the small, torn down home and Derek squeezed Bethany's hand. "You ready?" He said, "As long as I got you by my side." He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Always, my love."
She unbuckled Blair and then Derek put her on his hip and Noah stood beside them. Noah knocked on the door with pure excitement, Bethany leaned down and kissed his temple knowing how he was so ready to have older sister.
The door was swung open and a lady who stood in a robe and her sleepwear still on scoffed. "You here to take her?" She said, and as soon as she opened her mouth the smell of vodka covered the room. "Uh, yes." Bethany said, faking a smile.
Kendall came around the corner with only a suitcase and bag. "Is this it?" Derek asked throwing the bag over his shoulder. "Yeah," she replied, rolling her eyes at the drunk women. "Ok, let's get out of here." Bethany said carrying Blair, stepping through the mess with her heels.
They arrived at their home and Derek carried in her things and up to her new room that Beth designed for her. She squealed as soon as she saw it and Derek laughed. "Yeah your mom, I mean Beth-" He was cut off, "You can say mom. I won't call you dad until you feel like it's not awkward. I've dreamed of this, and now that it's happening I couldn't be happier. It all feels so right, ya know?" Derek smiled and nodded, "I know."
Derek heard Beth's heels coming up the stairs and he shook his head and laughed, "Here's a warning; she's going to talk a lot about fashion and clothes, just go along with it." She smiled and laughed, "Got it."
Bethany squealed just like Kendall did as soon as she walked in. "So do you like it?" She asked sitting next to her on the small bench type thing in her room. "It's magical. Thank you, mom."
Her eyes filled with tears and she hugged her close, they sobbed into each other's arms. "Well you get settled in and I'll see you in the morning, I love you." Kendall smiled at her and nodded, "I love you too."
It was almost 2am and she had just finished going through all the clothes Bethany bought her and things for her room. She looked at her phone and then decided to go downstairs to get something to eat.
She heard endless giggles and turned the corner and stood at the top of the stairs. She saw Bethany and Derek singing and dancing around the living room/ kitchen area. She had always noticed how strong and unconditional their love for each other was and how when Derek looked at her he saw the most gorgeous women in the world.
She remembers the first day she met them and how Bethany was chasing Blair around the outlet mall as Derek just stood back and laughed and recorded it. She remembers went they went bowling and how Derek thought it was so adorable the she didn't know how to bowl and so everytime he would help her. She loved how they were truly each other's life line and support.
She tiptoed down the stairs and tried not be seen or intrude their little moment. "Hey, Kendall." Derek said, spinning her around. She laughed as they continued to dance around their home and then Bethany joined in. They ended up staying up, giggling, and talking until 4am then they all passed out on the couch.
This was the family they all dreamed about and now that they had what they all strived for and dreamed for, they were the happiest humans alive.
