Shehnaaz was at the Hotel Empire with Sidharth . He had called her up so that she could sign the surrogacy contract. Sidharth had given her the contract file to give it a read and then render her consent to it. Shehnaaz took the file and placed it on the table. Thereafter, she picked up the pen and began to sign the contract. But soon, she was interrupted by Sidharth .
"I think you should go through the do- cument once before you sign it. I want things to be clear between the two of us and don't want any further complications," he remarked.
"Don't worry, Sidharth , there won't be any complications. I have drafted one such contract and I am aware of the clauses enclosed within the contract of surrogacy. "Shehnaaz assured him.
She did not even think twice and signed the contract. After signing the papers, Shehnaaz slid the document towards Sidharth .
Sidharth held the file in his hand and glanced at Shehnaaz .
"I still stand firm in my opinion that you should read this contract once."
Shehnaaz looked straight into his eyes and replied to him, "I TRUST YOU."
His face gleamed with joy when he heard those words.
"Oh really? Is that so?" He exclaimed.
He paused for a moment and continued his speech. "Okay, tell me what you'd like to have; tea or coffee?"
Shehnaaz recalled the tea that he had offered the last time she had come to meet her.
"A cup of coffee would be fine." She immediately replied.
Sidharth ordered his secretary, Jenny, to order coffee for them.
Jenny made a call and ordered coffee. for her boss and Shehnaaz . After a while, she left the room.
Sidharth sat down on the couch in a relaxed manner before he inquired, "A few minutes ago, you mentioned that you trust me. But why? Why do you count on me? Even when you don't know me, shehnaaz .
Shehnaaz listened to his question and placed one leg over the other. "I know about you more than you think I am aware of." She announced
Sidharth was confused and propelled a question at her, "Well... I would like to know what all you know about me."
Shehnaaz knew his backstory. Her friend Jasmine had told her about how her ex-fiance had abandoned him in the middle of the wedding and how he coped with the adverse situations.
"I know everything about you." Shehnaaz boasted with a layer of attitude pasted on her face.
"Though you did not tell me anything about yourself, I caught hold of the necessary information." She continued.
Sidharth smiled at her and inquired,
"What important information did you get about me?"
Shehnaaz looked straight at him and felt a weird kind of fear. Sidharth had something special in his personality that had the capability of making the other person nervous when in conversation with him. Anyway, shehnaaz gathered enough courage to put forth her opinion: "Why didn't you tell me that you belong to the wealthiest family in the country?" You didn't tell me that you own this hotel and not only this, the most popular food chain, "Grill Cart," is yours. Shehnaaz's voice had a sense of complaint.
She didn't know why she was irritated with sidharth for concealing his real identity from her.
Sidharth was still smiling. And his eyes were fixed on shehnaaz . "Don't you think it took you so long to know my real identity?" he remarked sarcastically.
