It was almost midnight. Both of them were sitting on the balcony. He had forced his lady to sit on his lap, minimising even the smallest gap between them.Even air could not make its way through them.
His arms were wrapped around her waist. She could feel the warmth of his love. She had rested her head on his chest, and her hands were positioned on his arm. A thin but cosy fur blanket was layered over them. She took a sip of coffee and placed the mug aside. Later, she snuggled inside his chest, her lips brushing against his neck as if marking her territory. She soon got a surprise when two fingers came sliding down her face and they shared a slow, steady but passionate kiss. They shared a moment of pure bliss.
A ray of sunlight made its way towards her face, peeping through the curtains, and Shehnaaz immediately woke up, rubbing her eyes. Her partly opened eyes widened with surprise when she realised that it was a dream.
"How could I dream about Sidharth? Why am I even romanticising things with him?" She mumbled to herself.
Shehnaaz had not overcome the surprise of her thoughts when she realised that she was not in her room. It took her a few moments to absorb the shock. She was in Sidharth's room. She remembered how she fell asleep while in conversation with Sidharth. She didn't realise it when she fell asleep. She noticed a throw blanket was put over her and concluded that Sidharth might have done it. "Where was Sidharth?" Shehnaaz thought to herself.
She immediately turned her gaze around but didn't find Sidharth beside her or in the room. She had a weird kind of feeling in her heart. and felt butterflies fluttering inside her stomach. She wondered if she and Sidharth slept on the bed together. While her eyes were roaming around the room, she stumbled upon the bedsheet kept on the chair. Shehnaaz got off the bed and picked up the bedsheet from the chair.
"How did this bed sheet come over here? Oh, wait... does that mean Sidharth slept on the chair the whole night? "She thought fearfully.
Shehnaaz was standing beside the chair and felt. Amid her thoughts, the door opened and Sidharth entered the room with a smile on his face.
"Good morning, Shehnaaz." He greeted her.
"Good morning..." Shehnaaz replied to him in a soft but lowered voice.
His smile disappeared when Sidharth saw Shehnaaz looking a bit stressed.
"What's wrong, Shehnaaz? Are you fine?" Sidharth asked.
"I'm sorry, Sidharth. Umm... you had to spend your night inconveniently just because I dozed off in the middle of our conversation last night. You could have woken me up, Sidharth. I felt bad that you struggled to sleep on the chair the whole night. And surprisingly, you know what? I don't even remember exactly when I fell asleep, " Shehnaaz apologized.
