Shehnaaz nd Sidharth were at the "Grill Cart" having their dinner. She had not been to this part of the restaurant where she was welcomed in a bamboo cabin. Shehnaaz was amazed by the interiors that had primitive lanterns as adornments.
Sidharth and Shehnaaz were talking about Maya. Hearing about her, Shehnaaz was enraged all over again when she recalled Maya's inappropriate and arrogant behavior towards Sidharth.
"Why did you tolerate her nonsense? Your silence drove me crazy. I couldn't resist my agitation and vented out. Why didn't you give it back to her?" She questioned
"What do you think I should have said to her in my defence? I don't know, but words don't slip out of my mouth whenever I am confronted with that incident. I have no justification that might quench people's doubts. This probably could be the reason why I keep running away from people," Sidharth explained.
She knew Sidharth was burdened with his past and that it had a massive impact on his present. Hearing him, Shehnaaz projected her comforting words at him. "But Sidharth, people would dominate you and continue to humiliate you until they don't get a befitting reply from your side. People would take advantage of your silence and keep poking you about the wrong incidences in your life just to pull you down."
Sidharth couldn't resist smiling when he listened to Shehnaaz.
Sidharth chuckled. "I must say, you handled it so well. Every word that you spoke in my defence, thrashed her temperament. Maya was clearly not prepared for it. However, it was equally unexpected for me too. I haven't come across this shade of your personality. You slashed her," Sidharth chuckled.
Shehnaaz laughed at Sidharth's response.
"You can't be soft and sober all the time. You have to be quick-witted to deal with people like Maya.Otherwise, there's no chance you will escape the damage and get wounded,"she stated.
Sidharth didn't say anything but smiled at her. He wondered how mature Shehnaaz's thoughts were. Sidharth was impressed with this intense and quick-witted side of Shehnaaz.
They finished their dinner and returned home. Shehnaaz went straight to her room, and Sidharth went to his. It was quite a long day for Shehnaaz. She was exhausted.
She went to the washroom, took a quick shower, and changed into her sleepwear. Shehnaaz laid down on the bed. She was so tired and, ideally, she should have gone to sleep. But her mind was occupied with thoughts about Maya and her harsh words towards Sidharth.
"Maya addressed me as a wrong choice that Sidharth had made. And she wasn't wrong at her place. Sidharth would be the correct choice for girls like Maya. She looked nothing less than a model, and everything about her was classy and chic. They looked so good together," Shehnaaz mumbled.
