"Stop being a couch potato and get up, Shehnaaz . We are going to attend your best friend's wedding," Sidharth announced.
Shehnaaz could not believe her ears. She got down from the swing and had a lot of questions brimming in her mind. Sidharth's taking her to Jasmine's wedding came as a shock to her.
"What are you saying, Sidharth? Umm... how can I go to the wedding?" She exclaimed.
Sidharth could not resist smiling at her reaction. He found Shehnaaz adorable and couldn't take his eyes off of her.
"Why can't you go to your friend's wedding? I have already spoken to Dr. Swati, and you will be delighted to know that she has given you permission to travel, "he informed Shehnaaz .
Shehnaaz's eyes expanded to make her gaze widen in surprise, and she was staring at Sidharth in astonishment. She couldn't believe how the situation had changed in her favor. Sometime back, she was upset about not attending Jasmine's wedding, and now all of a sudden, she didn't know how to react to the news that Sidharth would be taking her to Minnesota to attend her best friend's wedding. Sidharth snapped his fingers before her eyes to bring Shehnaaz back to reality.
"Hey... Where have you been lost?" he asked.
Within a fraction of seconds, her lips curled into the biggest smile ever.
"WOW... I will now be attending my best friend's wedding. Isn't that amazing?" She cried out.
Shehnaaz took a step forward and embraced Sidharth in her arms. It was so sudden that he didn't get much time to react to it. There were no limits to her happiness today, and Sidharth was elated that he was the reason for that bright smile on her face. "Thank you so much, Sidharth. You cannot even imagine how happy I am today. Thanks a ton, " Shehnaaz remarked.
Sidharth was surprised by her sudden move. He didn't expect Shehnaaz to abruptly embrace him in her arms.
But secretly, he liked being held by Shehnaaz in her arms. Since Shehnaaz's body was pressed against his, it ignited a chilling sensation within him. It' seemed as if a current ran down his body. He was slowly moving his hands upwards to embrace her back, but it was too late until then. Shehnaaz got detached from his embrace and stood before him. She was on the seventh cloud and the happiness was clearly reflected in her eyes. They were twinkling with joy. And not to forget that glossiest smile on her face. Sidharth was delighted to behold that enchanting smile. It was one of a kind that he could die for.
Her happiness made his heart fall in peace.
"Pack your stuff tonight. We will leave early in the morning tomorrow, "he instructed.
