It was late at night. Shehnaaz had come back from the farewell dinner. She was lying on her bed, trying to get some rest, closing her eyes. Soon, she was interrupted by a phone call.
Shehnaaz wondered who it could be that was calling her late at night. She grabbed her phone and glanced at the screen. Shehnaaz was surprised when she saw Sidharth's name flashing.

"Why is Sidharth calling me at such an odd hour? I am afraid. What's the matter?" She thought.

Lying on the bed, Shehnaaz picked up the call. "Hey, Sidharth ! How come you called me so late at night? I hope everything is fine, " Shehnaaz questioned.

"Well yeah... This is the question that I have been wanting to ask you. Is everything alright at your end?" Sidharth replied to her from the other end of the call.

Shehnaaz was surprised to hear that from him.

"Yeah..yeah, everything is fine. Why? What made you ask such a question?"She inquired.

"Well.. No... nothing... "It was just a general question," Sidharth replied.

Shehnaaz was unable to understand the underlying meaning of his words or his behavior. But then abruptly, she remembered that Sidharth might have called her to enquire if she wanted anything. Just like he always did.

Shehnaaz scratched her head and sta- ted, "Mr. Shukla , I am fine and also keeping well. Also, I don't need anything as of now. I guess this was what you were about to ask me. Right, Mr. Shukla ?"

"Hmm.. okay.. that's great Shehnaaz . By the way, how was your evening?"he asked. His tone had now transformed into a serious one. Shehnaaz was startled when she heard this question. She had not gotten a hint as to why Sidharth had called her late at night. But now Shehnaaz concludes that he might have seen her partying with Jasmine and Asim. And of course, it was obvious for him to spot Shehnaaz with her friends because she was at one of his restaurants in the evening.

"Oh my God... Now he would rant at me as a teacher does, "she mumbled to herself."

Shehnaaz decided to play it safe and portrayed herself as if she had not understood the meaning behind his question.

"There was nothing special about this evening; it was just the usual. But why do you ask about it?" She replied.

"Hmm... Did you say it was just the usual? But I thought you might have had a fun evening. I saw how much you enjoyed today, "Sidharth responded.

Amber had been lying down on the bed up till now but this statement of him, alarmed her and she got up to sit with a pillow in her lap.

"Were you spying on me? Don't I have a right to party and enjoy myself? And
yeah.. now please Mr. Shukla, don't come up with the statement that it was mentioned in that stupid contract; Miss Shehnaaz , you aren't allowed to party. " She raised her pitch a little higher than usual and imitated Sidharth .

"There is nothing like keeping an eye on you, Shehnaaz. You came to my restaurant for your party, so isn't it obvious that I might have seen you there? And as far as that "stupid contract" that you mentioned is concerned, well, it's your mistake that you didn't bother to read it at least once. Being a law student, that is the stupidest thing you could have done. You know, it wasn't expected...It's because you haven't read it that I have to keep reminding you time and again about what you have signed up for. By the way, the contract does not have a clause that would restrict you from partying. But yes, you should have informed me at least. I was shocked to see you there," Sidharth explained in a stern and angry tone.

Shehnaaz became nervous when she realised that Sidharth was at the same outlet of the "Grill Cart" that they had gone to for their farewell dinner.

"That means Sidharth saw me partying with Asim. But what's wrong if I was celebrating with my friends? It was just a party, and I don't think I was wrong on my part. And why would I seek permission from him for every single thing that I had to do?" Shehnaaz thought to herself.
