Shehnaaz and Sidharth were talking on the phone. Shehnaaz had expressed her wish that she wanted to go home and meet her dad, who had been recovering from the surgery. But Sidharth refused to allow her to visit her parents. For obvious reasons, Shehnaaz was angry at him.
She was enraged, and her anger reached its extreme when she heard him say that the contract had a clause that granted Sidharth the right to restrict Shehnaaz from doing anything that he thought she should not go ahead with.
She projected her words, coated with anger and disagreement, on the call.
"Okay, I haven't read the contract. But I did so because of the faith that I had in you. And trust me, I didn't know that you had a clause like this in the contract; otherwise, I would not have signed for something like this. One thing that I did not understand is why don't you want me to meet my family," she replied in anger.
Hearing her words, Sidharth lost his calm.
"Don't portray it as if I cheated on you," Sidharth yelled at her in a high-pitched voice.
Shehnaaz was a little scared and responded in a timid tone, "Hey, I didn't mean that. I was just curious to know why you oppose my wish to visit my parents in Minnesota."
Sidharth took a deep breath and asserted, "Shehnaaz , I think we should meet. Let's talk about this when we catch up."
"Okay, that sounds good. I'll be there at the Hotel Empire at noon. " Shehnaaz replied.
Sidharth immediately responded, "No, you don't need to come to the hotel. We can meet at the coffee shop near Empire.
Shehnaaz agreed to the plan and disconnected the call. Her anger was still not pacified. She got off the bed to take out a dress from her closet and went into the washroom to get ready. In a short while, she left for the coffee shop that Sidharth had mentioned.
Upon reaching the coffee shop, she realised that Sidharth was already there. He was waiting for Shehnaaz to come. She took a few steps and reached out to Sidharth. She recalled the conversation she had in the morning and the tone in which Sidharth had denied her permission to visit her parents. Without any salutations, Shehnaaz vented her anger on Sidharth .
What do you think of yourself? Why didn't you tell me about this earlier? And how can you not allow me to meet my parents?" She yelled.
Relax, Shehnaaz . Come on, sit down so that we can talk. Don't create a scene, "Sidharth attempted to pacify her.
Shehnaaz pulled out the chair and settled down. She was still angry at Sidharth .
"What would you like to have?" He inquired.
Shehnaaz glared at him. She appeared ferocious and looked straight into his eyes.
"I haven't come here to eat or drink anything. I'm here to get answers to my questions. Why did you refrain from going to my home? Why is it a problem for you to let me go home?"she asked.
"Listen to me, Shehnaaz ... I don't have any issues with you going to your home, but I think you should probably avoid travelling at this point in time. You might not have paid attention to Dr. Swati's instructions? Didn't she mention that you need to be extra cautious? " Grayson stated
"Yeah, I know. For your kind information, I have listened carefully to all her instructions and have even understood them. I just went through all the ins- tructions in my mind, but I did not recall if she had prohibited me from traveling," Shehnaaz argued.
"You have to understand Shehnaaz. She won't be mentioning all of the instructions to you as if you're a child. You would have to use your common sense a little bit. You could face issues while traveling. And this was my concern, " Sidharth tried to reason.
