Sidharth dropped Shehnaaz off at the wedding venue and left. Shehnaaz took the staircase and went inside the massive entrance gate. Before entering the inn, Shehnaaz glanced at herself through the glass door and adjusted a few hair strands that were swinging around her face. On moving towards the church, she saw that the space was adorned with white lilies and other exquisite decorations. Shehnaaz was slowly moving inside and was gazing at the decorations and arrangements simultaneously. Soon she was settling in amongst the guests who had come to attend the wedding. Thankfully, Shehnaaz had made it to the wedding just on time. The bride and the groom had not exchanged their vows yet. Shehnaaz was trying to locate Jasmine amidst all the gathered people but failed to do so. In an attempt to find her best friend, Shehnaaz finally spotted Jasmine's mom in the crowd. Her mom could be seen attending to a few guests.
She went near her and greeted her mom, "Hello..."
Jasmine's mom smiled at Shehnaaz and embraced her in her arms. "Oh, what a pleasant surprise, Shehnaaz! I am glad that you could make it to the wedding," she exclaimed.
"Trust me, I'm more than delighted to be a part of this celebration," Shehnaaz expressed herself.
"True, There is nothing more impor- tant in the world than attending a best friend's wedding. Correct? Thanks to your office, they gave you a day off. Jasmine would be happy to see you. " Jasmine 's mother shared,
"She was missing you terribly, you know."
Shehnaaz smiled at her and said, "Even though I missed her so much, I can't see the bride and my best friend. Where is she?"
"Umm... She is getting ready. The wedding ceremony would begin after some time anyway. Wait... I'll take you to her room, "Jasmine's mom offered.
"It's alright, you may have to attend guests here. Just tell me the directions and I will find my way, " Shehnaaz replied with a smile.
"Yeah right," Jasmine's mom pointed towards the hallway and guided her with the directions. "You have to go straight and then turn towards the right. Jasmine is in the first room in the corner. I will join you both at some time. Okay?" She said,
Jasmine's mom joined the guests, and Shehnaaz made her way to the room as she had been directed. She stood before the door and softly knocked at it.
She heard a voice from inside.
"Who's it?..."
Shehnaaz didn't say anything but knocked at the door again.
Jasmine was annoyed at the person on the other side of the door as she did not get any response. "What nonsense is this? I am the bride, and nobody is supposed to disturb me when I am getting ready. Don't disturb me. Get off," Jasmine yelled.
Shehnaaz didn't say anything; rather, she burst into laughter upon listening to Jasmine vent her anger. She paused for a moment and knocked at the door again. The knock was louder this time.
