29. Shehnaaz is Unwell

Shehnaaz had returned from Minnesota. The few days after her return was quite terrible for shehnaaz . Firstly, she was missing home, and then she had been feeling tired all day long. Since Shehnaaz had come back to the hostel, she had been feeling sick. She felt nervous and anxious for numerous reasons. All of a sudden, she was scared. Shehnaaz wondered if Sidharth was right when he restricted her from traveling to Minnesota.

Sidharth might be right. I shouldn't have travelled at this time when the doctor had just initiated the surrogacy procedure. Oh, Lord... "I hope this isn't an indication of something worse, "Shehnaaz mumbled to herself, feeling irritated with her actions. Numerous thoughts popped up in her mind. Shehnaaz felt negative about everything related to health because her condition was getting worse and she felt sick.

Shehnaaz did not go anywhere except to the cafeteria to have her meal. In the evening, when she was lying on her bed doing nothing, her best friend Jasmine came to see her.

"Hey, Shehnaaz , why have you been sie- eping at this time?" Jasmine asked, confusingly.

Shehnaaz thought that Jasmine had come to ask her for the preparations. But Shehnaaz had not spent even a second preparing for the presentation. Shehnaaz felt guilty when she realised that Jasmine was the one who had been doing all the preparations alone. Shehnaaz sat on the bed and placed a pillow on her lap.

"I am sorry Jasmine . I was taking a rest as I was feeling a bit tired, "she answered.

Jasmine placed her hand on Shehnaaz's forehead and caressed her.

"Shehnaaz ...? Are you keeping well? I have been observing you for the past few days and you do not seem well. Should we go and see a doctor? "

Jasmine asked as she was concerned
about Shehnaaz .

"No Jasmine ... There's no need to see a doctor. I have been feeling weak lately. But I'll be fine soon." Shehnaaz replied to her.

Jasmine was excited about meeting Aarav Shukla , who was the chief guest of the seminar. All her excitement had now turned into an upsetting temperament.

The chief guests are the only reason the event got canceled. They have refused to come to the event, "she informed Shehnaaz.

"But why? Why did they deny coming to our college? How could they cancel the plan at the last minute?" Shehnaaz further questioned: "It would be harsh on our college's reputation knowing that the guests have refused to show up at the event."

"I know Shehnaaz. But what could be done now? I had a word with Professor Bradley, and he told me that some emergency had come up in Mr.Shukla's family. Hence, he cannot make it to the event that our college has organized. And you know, Aarav Shukla , whom I was desperate to meet, would not come to our college either, "Jasmine explained.

Shehnaaz was surprised to know that the event had been canceled, but she relaxed a bit. She was relieved that she would not have to show her presence before Mr. Aditiya Shukla .
