Sidharth was driving the car while Shehnaaz was sitting beside him. Shehnaaz looked sad. She was wiping off the tears that were rolling down her cheeks. Sidharth was stealing frequent glances at Shehnaaz while driving. Sidharth knew that she was upset. Shehnaaz was so depressed that she had to leave the room and say goodbye to her best friend Jasmine.

After some time, Sidharth asked, "Would you like to have something, Shehnaaz ? "

Shehnaaz nodded her head and denied it. She shifted her gaze outside the window. Sidharth was thinking of a way to lift Shehnaaz's mood. He could not think of anything else rather than turning on the stereo and playing music. The song, 'Hold you in my arms,' played loudly.

Shehnaaz was quiet and was thinking about the memories she had with Jasmine while gazing out of the car's window. Unknowingly, she began to sing along when the music reached her ears. Sidharth was relieved and his lips curled into a smile. Shehnaaz returned the smile and said,
"Yes, it is."

They didn't have any further interaction. Sidharth and Shehnaaz just listened to the songs. Eventually, their car entered the avenue that Sidharth had mentioned. Shehnaaz noticed that it was a high-end street with luxurious apartments. She had never been to this side of the city before. They were passing through the road when Shehnaaz saw the sky-high buildings on both sides.

Finally, Sidharth stopped the car in front of the apartment.

A doorman was present at the gate, who stood from his seat when he saw Sidharth's car arriving. He greeted him and opened the gate for Shehnaaz to step out. Shehnaaz saw a fountain at the entrance and noticed the lobby with beautiful and exquisite portraits.

For some unknown reason, Shehnaaz's heart was pounding hard. She was scared. For the first time ever in her life, Shehnaaz had to live on her own. Things were different in law school. Yes, she had a separate room for herself, but she wasn't alone there. But living in someone's apartment was a whole new experience. Shehnaaz was not sure how this would turn out to be. It was going to be different for Shehnaaz .

Shehnaaz had several thoughts running through her mind as she proceeded. She turned back and saw the doorman taking out the luggage. Suddenly, Shehnaaz realised that she had forgotten one of her important bags, and she went back to get it. She was about to pick it up when Sidharth grabbed the bag from her hand. Shehnaaz glanced at him in surprise.

You don't need to do this. I can manage on my own, "she said.

"Carrying heavy stuff is not advisable during pregnancy. It's okay. I'll get it for you, "he answered coldly.

It's surprising that I must say that a billionaire like him carries my stuff just because he doesn't want me to carry any load. Sidharth is filled with multiple personalities. He's this arrogant, wealthy businessman one minute, and then he's this caring, understanding guy the next. Oh, God! This man is so confusing. Nobody can tell that an arrogant man like Sidharth could be adorable at times," Shehnaaz thought to herself.

However, Shehnaaz was an independent girl who had always managed things on her own. She was hesitant for others to assist her, so when Sidharth offered to assist her, she felt strange.

While Sidharth was carrying the bag, Shehnaaz was following his lead. They walked a little ahead and stopped in front of the elevator. Sidharth pressed the button and waited for the elevator to come. Shehnaaz and Sidharth were waiting for the elevator when he glanced at Shehnaaz. She appeared to be exhausted and unwell too. Her eyes had swelled up due to excessive crying, and her face had become dull. Sidharth had never seen Shehnaaz like this before.

"Hey, Shehnaaz... Are you OK? You don't look fine," he asked, out of concern.

"Yeah, I am feeling tired. It was a long day. packing stuff and then the entire emotional stuff of saying goodbye to Jasmine , "She replied.

Should we go to a doctor? Are you alright?" Sidharth offered.

"No... There's no need to see a doctor. I'll be fine. I just need to get some rest," Shehnaaz responded.

Sidharth was still worried. "Are you sure?" he asked.

Shehnaaz nodded her head in affirmation

The elevator had arrived before them by then. Both Sidharth and Shehnaaz went inside. The elevator man greeted the two of them and then, after inquiring about the floor number, pressed the button for the 20th floor.

Shehnaaz had been watching him, and the very first thought that came to her mind was, What would happen if the elevator went out of order? She might collapse if she had to climb the stairs to reach the 20th floor.

The elevator stopped at the designated floor in a few minutes, and both of them came out of the elevator. She could see a large corridor before her. There happened to be a staircase on the right side of the corridor.

Sidharth walked a few steps ahead and stopped in front of an enormous door. Shehnaaz followed his lead and positioned herself beside him. It was the only door in the entire hallway, and it had caught all of Shehnaaz's attention towards itself.

Shehnaaz was surprised to see that this was the only apartment on the 20th floor.

Sidharth went ahead and unlocked the door. As the door opened, he made his way inside the apartment. Shehnaaz followed his lead and entered the apart ment. She was surprised to see a beautiful and spacious living room. The living room was nearly equal to half of Shehnaaz's house in Minnesota. Shehnaaz was amazed to witness the luxury before her eyes. She wandered her gaze all around the space. It was an enormous and luxurious apartment.

However, she was not surprised to see the interiors of his apartment because she had already seen Sidharth's hotel and office. Shehnaaz had imagined in her mind that his apartment would be nothing less exquisite than his hotel. Shehnaaz took a few slow steps forward into the living room. Her gaze was drawn to the room's opulent contemporary sofa and a vintage painting hung on the wall behind it.

Shehnaaz noticed a large TV screen on the wall opposite the sofa. There was an open kitchen on the right if they walked a little ahead. And a dinner table was positioned towards the right side of the kitchen. There was a corridor on the left side of the living room that had doors on both sides.

Sidharth walked towards the corridor and stopped before one of the doors. He opened the door and looked at Shehnaaz. "This would be your room," he announced.

Shehnaaz was hesitant at first, but then went inside the room. Sidharth grabbed her suitcases and went inside, following her lead.

"This is my room... Is all of this just for me? " Shehnaaz wondered.

Keeping her dorm room aside, Shehnaaz never had her own room. Back in Minnesota, she used to share her room with Sahiba , her sister. She experienced the luxury of a separate room for the first time in her life when she came to Chicago to pursue her law degree. But the room that she was offered by Sidharth was quite bigger than her dorm room. It was beautifully designed and appeared luxurious and elegant. A queen-sized bed stood in the centre of the room. On one side of the bed, there was a couch and a table. A walk-in wardrobe was attached to the room.

There was a large window on the other side of the bed adorned with translucent curtains. Shehnaaz saw that there was a door beside the window. She was eager to open it and see what was inside. But before she could do that, Sidharth came inside and put the suitcases near the couch and asserted, "You can take some rest now. Let me know if you want anything.''

Shehnaaz nodded her head, and Sidharth made his way out of the room.

Shehnaaz had been feeling exhausted. She decided that she would take some rest and then keep her clothes in the wardrobe. She lay on the bed and closed her eyes. Shehnaaz was so tired that she dozed off immediately after closing her eyes.
